Now i know that humour is a subjective thing but what would people say are the funniest of BFs DW releases. I am making the most of the sun and going on some long walks and would like to listen to some stories that are light and funny.

MR043 Doctor Who and the Pirates! is the first to come to mind.
There are plenty of others, mostly 4th Doctor - who is always good for a chuckle if not a belly laugh.

Seconded when it comes to Doctor Who and the Pirates. It’s very weighty moments are perfectly balanced with some lovely gags and jokes.
And this might be an unusual choice but I’d also recommend The Vanity Box as well. It’s quite short but has Colin Baker pulling off what might be the funniest performance of his time at Big Finish.

Toby Longworth is brilliant in The Vanity Box playing a Lancastrian trying to sound French. I listened to it again around the start of the year and the little slips of accent are superbly done. I laughed out loud.

The One Doctor is a joyous celebration of Doctor Who and is laugh-out-loud hilarious. You asked for light and funny and that's exactly what it is.

I think both And The Pirates and The Doomsday Coalition fell flat.
But "The Kingmaker" is absolutely hysterical. Granted, you might need to be familiar with the period of history in question.

The scorchies is amazingly funny and filled with ear worms if black comedy and Muppets are your thing!
Also the two Missy boxsets are so hysterical I frequently was laughing so hard I was crying!

Kingmaker stands out to me but a couple yet to be mentioned:
The Renaissance Man (definitely a light-hearted evening walk story) Encore of the Scorchies The Bekdel Test
Then of course, there are all of Rob Sherman's non-Scherzo scripts that manage to be hilarious and dark at the same time. Nev Fountain's Peri and the Piscon Paradox does as well.

Well I always smile with Kingmaker, the One Doctor, Bekdel Test, Divorced, Beheaded (Missy And the Monk are fantastic), R&J, Piece of Mind, the Green Life (I listened to this on a walk and laughed out loud) and not to forget the range with Benny and the Warner Doctor. Yes, the are also deep and thoughtful, but they also always make me laugh.

So many great ones already mentioned, but another one that makes me laugh a lot is Spaceport Fear. I think of it as kind of taking some of the humor of Paradise Towers to a whole another level, which has even raised my appreciation of Paradise Towers considerably. Also Auntie Iris is good for many a hoot and so is Panda, but that might even go without saying?

I thought Bang-Bang-a-Boom! was funny, whether intentional or not. The Wormery was quite funny too, but The One Doctor, as already mentioned, is probably my favourite story that could be called a "funny release".

'Kingdom of Lies' and 'Serpent in the Silver Mask' are a couple of modern MR classics which are lots of fun. And from the EAs, 'The Ravelli Conspiracy' and 'Entanglement'.
J&L have some comedic classics to balance the dark and dastardly doings of their range - it's not all vampires and evil aliens lurking in the London fog! Vol 8 is perhaps the lightest overall, but there are stories scattered here and there throughout their wonderful run - 'The Gluttonous Guru' in Vol 5 is one such I've just been listening to again.

Hard to go wrong with a Nev Fountain script in that regard, I reckon. The Kingmaker, The Doomsday Contract, The Widow's Assassin...
What else...? The One Doctor still holds up remarkably well as "tongue-in-cheek done earnestly" after all these years. The Maltese Penguin always cracks a smile. Time in Office also has great moments like Leela's Princess Bride moment.

Death and the Queen is quite funny, from Donna's awkward relationship with Prince Rudolph to his obnoxious Queen Mother.

Conflict Theory from The Sixth Doctor and Peri Volume 1 is really funny, filled with subtle wordy jokes and references.
The Lone Centurion Volume 1 has some great jokes, most of them coming in episode three, I, Rorius.
