How come moderators are quick to give a warning yet aren't so quick to remove them? A warning is supposed to last for 12 months after which time you have to manually request to remove them. Yet despite several requests this hasn't been done. So what exactly is a member supposed to do to get them removed?

Hello Ian(?).. It's unfortunate you have made this post public thus drawing attention to your private matter. Not sure if you realise but the Mods live in 4 different countries at last count.. 4 different timezones.. There has been a group discussion today inbetween us all living our lives. There was literally a private message to be sent out to you. There's information that needs to be collated to work out what gets removed, dates to work out.
You will get a private message..

Well frankly I'm not sure what else I was expected to do, I've made four requests over the last few days with no response from anyone. As for working out dates, what's to work out? The 12 months are up! Members get warnings, I'm not the only one, and I've no problem with it being public, I'm not running for president. The rules say manually request the removal, I've done that, with no effect. I felt the only way to get a response was to ask advice publicly, and seems it was the correct way to proceed. " There was literally a private message to be sent out to you", yes I'm sure, thank you.

There has been 3 separate warnings placed next to your account on different dates and with different % levels, we were in a 4-country discussion about this.. If you choose to believe this or not that is up to you.

" There was literally a private message to be sent out to you", yes I'm sure, thank you. I'm sorry if you felt we weren't acting fast enough, but as aussie says we are all scattered across the world and have real life commitments, so it can take a couple of days to co-ordinate everything between us. Not all of the mods make it on to the forum every single day, and not all of the mods received your PM (I know I didn't), so it may have taken a day or two for one of the people you contacted to log in. After that, there's the 1-2 days of co-ordination. The time all begins to stack up. As for the dates, since we're being open, your total warning level is an accumulation of 3 separate incidents, and not all of them have actually gone past the 12 month period yet. We are reading through the various reports to work out the appropriate % we should be reducing your level by. We hoped to PM you soon with our conclusion.

I'll wait until August 1st when all three will have expired and again request for their removal.

I tell you what leave them in place for now. " we were in a 4-country discussion about this" - Good grief it's just an audio play forum, not the United Nations debating the future of the world. Thanks anyway.

thank you.

Request for removal of warning level after the designated amount of time does not guarantee removal, by the way. Continued behavior and reports that have come in the meantime may also play into it.

Oh I'm sorry, where does it say that exactly? The rules say you should contact the moderators. It doesn't say removal of warning levels is guaranteed. Removal is absolutely not guaranteed and is up to the discretion of the moderators.
