Sadly I agree. But I hope not in Doctor Who, tbh I would stop watching if RTD brought him back. What if they brought him back to definitively kill off Jack? Frankly even without the palaver he's caused I'd want to see that. No thank you.

They could always recast him into someone less flashy as his descent into the face of Bo, therefore giving the character the humility lacked by the initial actor.

What does the acronym TERF stand for? (I had to look this up) TERF is an acronym that stands for trans exclusionary radical feminists. I must get out more! Here's me thinking you were talking about posh grass In fairness, their arguments have all the value of said overpriced grass, so that works!

Well, on that note, found out something deeply sad: Helen Raynor's apparently a TERF (anti-trans, like GR and JD). And she was photographed at an event for a women's rights group, Merched Cymru, with anti-trans hashtags like sexnotgender and womenwon'twheeshit included in the post. Here's a link instead to it.Damn.
Photographed at an event for women's rights? My goodness yes we certainly shouldn't be enjoying the work of someone who could attend something so problematic. There's very few groups quite as tolerant as the woke.

Do you habitually put words in people's mouths? Did I say anything about Raynor's past work? Did I say you can't enjoy it?

It's not women's rights if it's against rights for transwomen. Which is apparently what their "women's rights" rally is code for.

And if they actually believed what they were saying - which I doubt - as opposed to leaning into bigotry, why is there no attempt - happy to be proven wrong but I can't find it - at reaching out to and including transmen? Since under their particular definitions these are women. Possibly women attempting to somehow directly infiltrate the patriarchy? Who can tell.

Apparently Trevor Baxendale liked several tweets supporting JK Rowling and transphobia in general...

Be interesting to see if this actually sees this light of day. There is already a huge backlash. but it does have the trademark channel 4 shock value and probably would be great for ratings whilst being a PR image disaster

So he's actually going to publicly broadcast statements refuting allegations that the Police Investigated and say the damage to his reputation is unfair?
There's no way he restores his reputation if he does this, in fact, depending on what he says, he could end up the subject civil suits and new criminal investigations for years.

Regards mark687 It would seem to me this may be more of a last ditch effort to cash in rather than trying to clear his name - his career is effectively over at this point. Any documentary that pays subjects/interviewees (aside from the likes of professionals/experts) is questionable to me. I imagine if it does happen it will be just vague enough to not be subject to civil suits or discuss details of specific allegations.

Agreed. Very much seems like a last ditch effort to salvage his career.
I can’t imagine who else would agree to participate in this though. Even if they thought him completely innocent of any wrong doing it would very much be career suicide.

Or he assumed it was all a work event and just went with the flow.
