Really excited for this set. I found the last series to be a tad middling, apart from the last story, but this sounds like a very interesting concept. Love that Liz, The Brig(and Sarah) are getting so much love from Big Finish.

I'm really digging the premise here. So much of the River Song range has just been, "River meets a classic character" -- I'm much more interested in the idea of her stumbling into a classic episode instead. So I hope the stories take their cues from the 1970s TV show rather than the Moffat era. (Sorta like DS9: Trials and Tribble-ations taking DS9 characters and dumping them--literally--into a TOS episode). Very high hopes for this one.

Confirming what most of us already guessed but I have to say, the story details do sound intriguing. And I like the fact they’re doing more with Dr Liz Shaw as a character.

Its good that 3 and River will be meeting in a more substantial role rather then the cameo in Vol 6

Story synopsis sound great. I’m glad the Doctor isn’t in the whole set and the serialised sounding approach lends itself to him appearing at the end and wondering what’s gone on!
I hope Treloar guesting in another range will allow him to up his game. I think he’s become quite lazy in the last couple of 3DA sets, playing it as a Jon Pertwee soundalike, but there's not really a performance in there. The way he’s performing the lines is neither what Jon would have done as the Doctor, or even just the Third Doctor as a fictional character.

Really like that cover. For some reason, it just screams early seventies (or is it eighties?) television.

The cover is gorgeous! I notice Big Finish put a collection of their River Song covers on Twitter yesterday, promoting a sale, and I realised how samey they all looked from a distance with two colour palettes across eight sets. The template it was in didn’t help either, as nice as it is, it quickly becomes limiting. Series 9 is very eye catching and distinct in contrast!
Great trailer too.
