Nice that this has finally been announced! Martha is one of my favourite companions, and I loved Freema’s return in Torchwood last year, so looking forward to this. Adjoa his always good value too and absolutely wonderful in real life.
The product page has this listed as £24.99 on CD, but the news article is stating £19.99. If the former, I think it’s going to make the transition to download easier. £16.99 feels like a more competitive and justifiable download price, but £24.99 is a lot for a trilogy, particularly not one featuring the Doctor as a lead.

Somehow, even though I knew it was coming, this news has got me really excited. I can't wait! I would pre-order now, but it looks like there's an error on the site. The news article mentions £19.99 for the CD, but the product page lists it as £24.99... EDIT: shallacatop beat me to it re: pricing

Ah this is finally official.
This is a potentially really interesting time for Martha, so there’s undoubtedly potential here. Curious about Francine’s involvement as she spent the year imprisoned on the Valiant.

It's always possible (if not likely) that they couldn't get the whole set done at that point, they were planning to finish up in 2020 and then COVID struck.

Perhaps there are scenes that cut to Francines POV on the valiant with either her other daughter or husband or another character going to be interesting how they are going to get around not using The 10th Doctor, The Master and Captain Jack

Will be interesting to see which price prevails - if it is the higher one then this will (I think) be the biggest "gap" between CD and download prices for a one-off release of this size - a sign of things to come?

No 'Nick Briggs as The Daleks?' Say it ain't so! I mean that lightly of course, but I'll be a lot more likely to get this if there are no Skarosians present; I like Martha and think there's a lot of potential here, as others have said.

It doesn't actually bill it as 'Vol 1' (which they seem to be replacing with sub headings) but I wonder whether it will be part of a series. Who knows, by the time the cover art is revealed it may have acquired a suffix heading:
The Year of Martha Jones - January....

And so it finally materialises after all this time but with a twist - a missing episode! The hour at the library To be precise. So what has happened?
Possibly they just couldn’t get a hold of freema to record that final episode and so have decided to scrap it/push it back and release the episodes they have instead of waiting on freema being available which may not be years.
Alternatively it may have featured a certain John Barrowman but i doubt that they would have took the episode out and announce it now when the boxset has been on the shelf for two years already, why now? So its probably the first reason. Seems a shame to loose it as it was obviously written and recorded to an extent

Curious about Francine’s involvement as she spent the year imprisoned on the Valiant. Could be a way of navigating a lack of John Simm and still seeing it from the other side. Regards mark687
