What are some tv shows and movies that you thought you would hate/dislike for various reasons but ended up loving instead?
Me: Ted Lasso: I hate sports. I think that sports are the most boring thing ever and I would rather watch paint dry than watch or play them. I also don’t usually like the character stereotype of the Midwestern/southern hick man who usually espouses religious quotes and especially not if they are a sports coach. Yet, somehow I love this show! The character writing and cast are all wonderful. Ted himself is sweet and adorable and I want to give him a hug. I think it also helps that the focus is away from soccer/football and instead on meaningful character development/ interactions and the culture clash between the British and Americans. The story arch of the boss and how she starts off as an ice queen and slowly defrosts is also brilliant! It’s a miracle that I love this show as much as I do honestly.

Ashes to Ashes
Never thought I’d enjoy this sequel series to the excellent Life on Mars (mainly due to the setting change to 80s London from ‘70s Manchester) but I must admit giving it a shot it really surprised me at how good it turned out to be. And it certainly developed Gene Hunt more as a character in contrast to the ‘70s Sweeny esque archetype he was in the original series.
Still stand by the belief that Life on Mars had the better ending. Was just about perfect in my eyes.

Modern Star Wars Animations did not expect them be as well written and performed as well as they are.
Couple of contrvousaly now things I think have improved since there first entries
Fast and Furious Franchise starts off standard fast cars and crime add the "Bond" elements and recurring characters their brainless but fanatic run
DC Legends of Tomorrow
I hated Season 1 but once Rip and The Hawks left its become a great blend of Si-Fi, Action, Comedy,Drama without any permutations, assumptions, or overt Messaging to its audience

I don't know the idea of someone like Gene Hunt being a Cop's St Peter appeals to me Truth be told I watched both series preferring Philip Glenister and the Squad to the other 2 leads anyway. Regards mark687 Don’t get me wrong, I actually rather liked the revelation behind Gene Hunt but I just thought Life on Mars’s’ conclusion was more moving. The idea of if you can’t feel anything than you’re not alive just appealed to me.

So, not exactly about my view on Suicide Squad, but where else would I put this tell-all from David Ayer. It's pretty rough:
