"Torchwood, Soho, the 1950s. Disgraced agent Norton Folgate has a new boyfriend, the very lovely Adam. Brilliant scientist Lizbeth Hayhoe meets a charming stranger on the underground, the very lovely Adam. Very soon, Torchwood has a new leader – the very lovely Adam.
With people losing their lives and their souls, Lizbeth and Norton must work out what’s happening to Torchwood. And why is Torchwood preparing to go to war? "

Already finished this one. Another great entry into the Torchwood range, and some great dialogue from James Goss. I think the Soho team might be my favourite iteration of Torchwood now, so this release has got me even more excited about yesterday's announcement of Ashenden. Also, the last few lines or so of this one were very cheeky...

I just had a theory, what if because Andy is a companion in the Stranded series, Norton ends up showing in the third or fourth boxsets during one of the trips to the past?

Well Thank goodness for Lisbeth "Kitty Puncher" Hayhoe, without her Brrr. Never have a Protagonist and Antagonist been so suited by being so dammed awful. I'm sure the 2 Actors are great guys but the characters are utter selfish individuals Even altered Norton's still looking out for NO 1 Also a plot choice I found odd There's a hard Sci-Fi resolution to it, I would've thought something more elegant akin to the TV Eps ending would've been more plausible in this setting In Summery OK story well performed Regards mark687

That was great - reusing Adam was a terrific idea, and BF clearly know they're onto a good thing with the 1950s Torchwood set-up of Norton and Lisbeth. Just a pleasure to listen to them at work. The only thing I'd say negatively is that while I'd never want Norton's self-interest to be sanded down to make him into a more conventionally heroic figure, {Spoiler} it's becoming a bit of a pattern that every Norton story turns out to be a massive disaster he's kicked off specifically to try and become the head of Torchwood. I'd like to see his self-interest explored in other ways, or see how he operates when he's sucked into a bit of 'normal' Torchwood business that isn't something he's secretly behind for once.

Whilst waiting to play this, I was waiting for the usual slight delay my PC is prone to before doing anything. At the top of the page, it said Madam, I'm (not responding), which quite a amused me!
Anyway, this has been my favourite Torchwood release for a while. Naughty Norton is his usual waspish self, and the relationship between him and Lizabeth is a highlight. And yet the story becomes bigger than them both when it becomes obvious something very strange is happening - but then, when isn't it? There is a genuinely unsettling threat emerging from the arch exchanges and chit-chat, and it is very persuasively conveyed by Bryan Dick.
"Honestly - b*gger off!"

That was enjoyable. Adam was one of the best monsters the TV series came up with and he’s quite insidious on audio too. I liked the dynamic of Norton and Lizbeth, so guess I’ll have to get into Torchwood Soho proper next sale.

Listening to the interviews…. Norton’s been around for five years already? I can’t believe it. Time flies, it really does!
Another great entry into the Torchwood main range. Norton and Lizbeth make a fine double act with some great “insert comedy middle name” banter! Nice to see Adam again too!

Listened to it this weekend while driving to a convention and back. I had completely forgotten the original Torchwood episode, so it was more surprising this way. I just looked it up and now recall more of it.
One problem I had with it is that I could barely understand anything that the Kernaz said. I wish we had a script for this.
It was really well done for audio. The way Adam insinuated himself into their lives more and more was masterful. After listening to the whole thing and the interviews, I went back to the beginning to hear how it all started again. I also listened to the last story track as well. Anyway, just another impressive story.
