I’m down for this. It’s been heavily commented over the years how it’s a shame Jacobi didn’t play the Master more. Big Finish have addressed that, so it’s great to go one step further and see how Jacobi would’ve been as Tennant’s Master.
As for the tease of who remembers who. The obvious answer would be the Doctor remembering the Master, if it’s post-Utopia / Sounds of Drums / Last of the Time Lords, but given they’ve asked the question I’m inclined to think the tables have somehow turned. EDIT: I’ve re-read the article and picked up on Scott’s comment about the Master not knowing the Doctor, so it is clear cut and an odd question posed at the beginning of the article!
I hope this is post-Planet of the Dead for the Doctor. There’s a lot of potential in the Doctor expecting the Master, albeit this time a different incarnation, and also touching upon the Time War with Dalek Universe being recent, but Time Lord Victorious, The Day of the Doctor and The End of Time yet to happen.
Fantastic variety of writers too, that’s exciting in itself. Recording date is 2nd July 2021, which obviously won’t cover the whole set, but suggests David has potentially done more since the massive 2020 batch during lockdown one.

Interestingly this was recorded in July this year…so maybe Tennant’s availability isn’t as lockdown dependant as thought…

Which confirms there will also be an eighth series of War Master!

But given he is only in one episode (mentioned in the news piece) perhaps he recorded other stories along side it

Who wants to bet that Volume 8 will Feature Johnathan Carley's War Doctor?

Who wants to bet that Volume 8 will Feature Johnathan Carley's War Doctor? I could see it myself. He spends the whole of Volume Seven waiting for the War Doctor show up (only to be confronted by the Tenth Doctor) and then ends up meeting him in Volume Eight.

The Soundhouse was added afterwards. I’d assume the 2nd July date is for David, purely because he’s guest starring in the final episode. With Scott’s comments about recording more War Master during lockdown, they could’ve been waiting on that episode to be recorded when David was available, and the rest of Volume 7 and all of 8 done previously.

Well this was inevitable. BF continuing their insistence to have every character meet up & overuse characters from the tv show. I gave up on the War Master range after the brilliant first boxset, the only thing that's tempting me here is the writers.

If you gave up after the first set, then the second set should fit your criteria. No returning characters in that and for me it’s the best in the range so far.

Scott said on another forum that Jacobi and Tennant recorded last summer The recording dates put this as July 2021, so at a time when things were beginning to loosen from the first lockdown.

I know but he’s said on another forum that Jacobi and Tennant recorded their parts last summer remotely as in 2020, the rest of the production was recorded in 2021, which means Tennant probably isn’t free now

The fact that the story doesn't have to end with any memory alterations makes me very happy, Cannot wait for this.
