Well for the Doctor at least. Regards mark687 Should be fine for the master surely as well as in utopia he's chameleon arched so wouldn’t remember regardless Indeed, the arch accommodates that easily, and it is never specified if the Master (with his memories) knows this Doctor or not, so it easy to imagine that the War Master knows him, and maybe even knows him well. Very exciting.

Well that was an easy pre-order decision! Really looking forward to the rematch and also to just be able to hear these two actors working together again.

Oh well, this sounds brilliant. You cannot really go wrong with these two actors as leads. Also, these authors are great. Instant pre-order from me.

Well this was inevitable. BF continuing their insistence to have every character meet up & overuse characters from the tv show. I gave up on the War Master range after the brilliant first boxset, the only thing that's tempting me here is the writers. In theory I agree with you. But my immediate gut reaction to this news was "Hahaha! Yes!". No objection to getting Tennant and Jacobi going up against each other at all. Not a jot.

Another question raised by having the tenth Doctor in the time war is would this only be a one off thing or would this be the next thing after Dalek universe? 10DA: Time War

I speculated on the Killing Time thread that potentially the Doctor’s involvement in the Time War in Self-Defence could lead into that.

Which leaves Jo Grant as the only one that 10 isn’t meeting so perhaps Jo will feature in a future 11th Doctor chronicle ?

Jo isn’t affiliated with the Time War, which is the point I was making and how Self-Defence could tie in with Tenth Doctor, Classic Companions, rather than her appearing in The War Master range specifically. Personally, I think the resolution to her story in Killing Time will be addressed in one of the UNIT Nemesis sets. Ideally there’s a beautiful story to be had where the Doctor helps her out, but I think it’s reliant on Matt or Peter to come on board. It seems a bit too grand to have as a Chronicle.

When I received the email from Big Finish, which announced this boxset, I was over the moon with excitement like the trigger-happy Judoon. Despite feeling a bit disappointed that my favourite incarnation will only be appearing in the final episode, I'm very hopeful that The Last Line will end with the extended War Master theme; like with The Cognition Shift and Unfinished Business.

The ultimate goal here isn't one War Master/10th Doctor boxset, but MANY.

Who wants to bet that Volume 8 will Feature Johnathan Carley's War Doctor? I could see it myself. He spends the whole of Volume Seven waiting for the War Doctor show up (only to be confronted by the Tenth Doctor) and then ends up meeting him in Volume Eight. I am expecting it to be the other way around…the Master appearing in the War Doctor Begins range to give it a boost in the ratings.

I don’t think it was there in the news release originally, but was edited pretty quickly to include it.

“Having survived a perilous trip to IKEA, the Master tends to his wounds and prepares for one of the greatest tests of his many lives - assembling his new BILLY bookshelf. However over the centuries of that storied life, he (and occasionally she) has made many enemies. Enemies that even now, sensing a weakness (albeit for Swedish Furniture and a nice cardigan) gather for the kill…. Coming soon from Large Swedish Production…. The Warm Master in Shelf Defence”
