Agree I’m 1 story in, and while his take is nowhere near as Good as his 10 & 11, it’s good enough…….
I was not sure at all after the short trip which he did 11 & 12 but he’s worked on it and it’s now passable keeping it as a drama helps you stay immersed
While it’s not the same as Peter Capaldi, this is Jacob d’s take and I’m ok with it. Capaldi is not the 12th doc, just first to portray him…….that’s my logic going forward with all the doctors………
1st tale in of all my gripes, the 12th doc’s casting & performance isn’t really one of them…….
I will give my thoughts when listened to it all, but for tales of the 12th doctor this is as good as it gets, and that’s pretty darn good

Just finished this set, and I have to say, I loved it. Dudman's 12 is really good, and for me was as convincing as his 11 once the story got going.
I loved the various twists and turns, and I thought Bhavnisha Parmar did an excellent job as Keira, and I hope we hear more from her in the future. All in all, the story was really good, engaging, and the small cast worked really well, despite the story being on quite a grand scale.
I'm really excited for future 12DC releases, as Alfie Shaw's promise in the behind-the-scenes that they can tell more "experimental" stories within the Chronicles range has me looking forward to whatever comes next.

Agree with most of what you say and its and experiment of where these ranges can go now and am hopeful they will examine MORE of 12 removed from the TV arcs i love WHo that is very much stand alone...and BF can do that so well and this trial run though having an arc attempts to play with 12.More please

I am not very impressed by Dudman's 12 (I still think they should have gone with Dan Starkey who read the audio books) but what convinced me is the refreshing take on the new Companion.
I will see how I enjoy it.

Am a bit more experimental with my ranges now well except the usual 😂 i was interested in the Seacole story and i did enjoy Timejacked a lot but found there was so much in the stories to enjoy that i dont regret taking the plunge and the Doctors companion in the third story shows how it could work away from the Claras and the Bills and the Nardoles plenty of gaps in his timeline they can fill

Loved it, tense, engaging, Dudmans great voicing the Twelfth Doctor, Shivnisha Parmar makes for a great companion as Keira who is very well written plus some clever twists & turns.
A high 4/5 more from these team up please.

Finished it. Hmm. Even if I again sound overly critical, but I was just not sold on this. The idea of a rogue Time Agent hijacking the Doctor is brilliant, but I still felt there was a lot of missed opportunity here. The stories themselves.... weird choices. I admit that during the Two-parter, I lost track of what was going on and what all that time shenanigans technobabble even meant. It did not come together in my head as a plot that made a lot of sense. I am also still not 100% sold on Jacob Dudman and his 12th Doctor. He is getting better, yes, but there are still times when he is not getting the spirit of 12 across and that takes me right out of the story. This release is by no means bad, and I did feel entertained, but it is none I would immediately re-listen and would file it under standard, well-produced, but not particularly memorable.

Finally got round to this. Thought it was great. Really liked the overall story with its many twists and turns and I loved Keira, her journey and just how rounded a character she was. I enjoyed that this didn't try to have the Doctor educate in the same way he does for Bill and their arc; I was initially worried it'd just be a repeat, albeit not as good. I still maintain that Dudman just isn't right for voicing the Twelfth Doctor, but fortunately it's improved enough so you can just get sucked into the story, even if he's not very good overall.
Be interesting to see what the next step is for this range. I'd love to get something with Nardole.

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of the "recast" Doctor ranges (especially New Series-related), but gave the one a listen wandering around town this afternoon.
Whilst I'm not 'sold' on the Doctor, as a whole, I did enjoy the set & the arc as a whole, and would happily listen to it again at some point in the far future (though I will say that I'm glad that it is "only" three episodes)...

I relistened to the first two episodes today (finishing the set tomorrow) and I have to say in my mind this was a lot better than it actually is.
I remember listening on release and being quite pleased and was looking forward to listening to this again in preparation for the new set. But my feeling this evening is mostly disappointment.
The first episode was OK but the second was so dull. Just the two leads going from place to place with no real substance.
I also found Dudman's 12 harder to listen to. I think it's because I'm so used to Carley, Treloar and Dudman's own brilliant 11 that this is now harder to accept.
Unfortunately, I've decided off the back of this to now pass on the upcoming set.
