I honestly recommend if anyone hasn’t listened to it before, David Warner’s role as Doctor Klench in the excellent radio series Nebulous.
Really had some quite wonderful comedic chops I must say.

Damn.
David Warner. One of those names that gets me excited to see a movie, no matter the length of his screentime. When I think of him, I think of the Doctor, of Jack the Ripper, of Lovejoy in Titanic, but my favourite role of his is probably Gul Madred, Picard's Cardassian torturer in Star Trek TNG. And he was called in at the last minute! He's reading the lines off of cue cards taped to Patrick Stewart's shoulder! And yet, he makes it look like he's been playing the part for years.
And he's the Expanded Universe Original Doctor. Our Doctor.
How lovely to hear that story of him menacing Nick Briggs just to tell him he wants to do Big Finish forever - and he did, right to the end, with two starring roles yet to be released.
What an actor.

It's not that long since Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amh (enhanced edition) in which David Warner played the main villain [Still regarded one of the best videogame RPGs of all time]. I also played the new chapter Siege of Dragonspear Castle (added as an expansion to the first Baldur's Gate) in which he reprised the role.
will look forward to the still-to-be-released performances (and, at some point, relisted to the previous Big Finish performances).

David Warner was one of the great character actors, hero or villain he always brought something to the role that brought that character to life. Request in pace.

David Warner passing, absolutely gutted, a fantastic actor who appeared in some of my favourite shows, Big Finish & movies.
He will be sorely missed but leaves behind a huge amount of work we can rewatch appreciate & enjoy.
And to think he was nearly Freddy Krueger.

So sad that David's no longer with us. I had the privilege to speak with him briefly last year. As soon as I said that I'd love his Doctor, he immediately wanted to make sure I'd heard the Bernice Summerfield stories also. What a gent. May his memory be a blessing.

Another great David today, David Trimble. RIP I was never a fan of his politics, but he stepped beyond that for all of us.
