I know when the last Iris Wildthyme came out, there was an interview with Katy Manning in it where it was mentioned that Nicholas Courtney was the first person to play this character. I'm having trouble finding this story though. Does it exist out there somewhere, and, if so, where can I find it?
I also wish the books were available. Most of them are either not, or are a bit too much money, at least on the American Amazon.

But Iris is listed as a character in the Worlds of Big Finish CD.

Sometimes it's confusing where threads go. Don't worry about it.
But since Iris does appear in some Doctor Who stories moving it here.

You can always skip Amazon and go to obversebooks.co.uk/product-category/iriswildthyme/ Iris Abroad at $49.98 on Amazon vs around $18 on Obverse depending on the conversion rate. I went with the download versions so I don't know about the shipping. Given how Iris travels the multiverse she could show up anywhere on the forum looking for a little splishy splashy.

Yes, that's the story. But I'm having trouble finding the actual audio for it, and the Memorable Moment, even if it was still available, didn't mention Iris at all.

I would have to check the shipping rate and see which one is a cheaper option seeing as I've never bought from overseas before. But it's good to know of another place that has them, thanks!

It can be found in both the Tales from the TARDIS Volume 1 release from 2004, or the confusingly same-named Tales from the TARDIS two-story duology from 2008.

It seems it can either be gotten for free on Amazon Audible [though I'm a bit wary what, exactly, they mean by Abridged without going into further details], or the two-story set is around $5 on CD.

I chose Iris & The Claws of Santa as my free gift with my sub renewal.

I've never subscribed to BF, especially since I like to save up as much as I can for Chicago TARDIS.

Anyone know the future of this range? Been a while since the last release, and I haven't heard news. Has it been discontinued?

Given that I just marathoned Series 2-4 in the last couple of days, I was wondering the same thing. I know she's not to everyone's tastes but I love Iris. Though, if it does continue, I hope they bring Panda back - as much as I liked Capt. Turner, after listening to the earlier series, I need more Iris and Panda together. They're such a great duo together.

I always find it strange how different Katy sounds as Iris in comparison to Jo! At first I thought I've been listening to this and for ages before I realised that Iris was already in the play and I hadn't spotted Katy's voice! JB

Even though I like Iris (and yes, I agree, Panda really needs to return), I don't think I've ever quite got over the fact that Iris sounds like Bill Oddie in drag (to me, at least).

Listened to Wildthyme at Large yesterday. Great story. "You're flabbered her gast!" had me in stitches. Panda has such a great voice.

Anyone know the future of this range? Been a while since the last release, and I haven't heard news. Has it been discontinued? I seem to recall reading somewhere that Paul Magrs has said he's gone all the places he wanted to go with Iris, but is happy to let others continue travelling with her (as evidenced by the upcoming Clockwork Iris anthology from Obverse Books (who have done many fine Iris stories)). Its all up to Katy, who lives in Oz IIRC, as to when and if BF do more Iris stories. I doubt Iris sells well for BF, she's quite niche.

Iris must sell well enough for it to be a profitable proposition for BF, and niche only in the same way that all the spin offs are niche.

I hope people aren't judging whether they want Iris Wildthyme based on the character's appearances in the Eighth Doctor Adventure Novels. I knew I did that at first, and wasn't the least bit interested in Iris at first, as I was not a fan of her in the books.
Once I heard Katy Manning's rendition of Iris, though, I was sold on the character. Katy is a hoot!
