I like the idea of a game-based story; IDW did something similar with "Star Trek" a few years back (TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager were all mixed-and-matched so that Q could play games against other god-like beings from the series) I very much doubt whatever BF do for the 60th anniversary will be bigger than what they did for the 50th. It's just not as culturally significant.
Well, David Richardson supposedly recorded Tom Baker's 60th Anniversary sequences several years ago, so he may well already have ideas for DW @ 75....

If they do end up going down the Legacy of Time approach, I’d love to see them incorporate the Warner Unbound Doctor in an adventure. Have him appear opposite the Third Doctor in a UNIT centric story.

Six for Sixty
How about a celebration of Doctor Who without it being Doctor Who
Thinking about all the Doctors in a race, the title “Those Magnificent Men in their Time Machines” came to mind. But what about it actually being a loose remake of that film with the actors from different Doctor Who eras competing for the prize of 60 uncut diamonds put up by the English Lord Fortitude played by Tom Baker.
The competitors are…
Lalla Ward and Louise Jameson as Lady Tempest and her pilot Rose Geary (I just nicked her names from ATA girl) Flying a biplane.
Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton and Janet Fielding Reverend Braveheart and his two St Trinian style schoolgirl charges. They are competing in a dirigible airship.
Colin Baker as The colourful Colonel “Sixy” Baker “At school they said I always went off half-cocked. Not a full Baker’s Dozen more a sixy. The name just stuck!” Flying a single man, single wing plane
Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred as Professor Epoch, who comes up with crazy flying inventions, and his assistant Lovejoy, who actually makes them work. They are flying his Mark 40 copter.
Paul McGann and Daphne Ashbrook as The honeymooning couple Grace and the Doctor. That is Mr Sterling Grace and Doctor Mary Ashfield They are flying a hot air balloon
And the final sixth competitors (think Dick Dastardly and Muttley) are Michelle Gomez and Rufus Hound as Miss Ada Adept and her hapless manservant Mortimer Monkhouse. They are flying in a small, streamlined zeppelin.

Hello again
I had the book of the film when I was about 7. I thoroughly enjoyed it, your Whoised version is quite brilliant. Bravo…

I'm currently watching through Star Trek's 30th year and both of the series at the time celebrated the anniversary by having a story set during an Original Series story - Voyager did one set during Star Trek VI, Deep Space Nine did one set during The Trouble With Tribbles.
Got me thinking - what if BF just did a handful of stories related to (or set during) the first season of Doctor Who?
The Tenth Doctor visits Coal Hill School in the 1960s, the Eighth Doctor is on Skaro shortly after his first visit, the Third Doctor is trapped inside his TARDIS returning to UNIT, the Ninth Doctor meets Marco Polo on his way back to Venice, the Seventh Doctor is on Marinus at the same time as his first self, the Sixth Doctor arrives in Aztec Mexico as Cortez is landing, the Fifth Doctor returns to the Sense-Sphere, the Fourth Doctor witnesses the start of the French Revolution...

I think, that if they were amenable in principle but were currently lacking opportunity, a one-off appeareance in a big multi-Doctor story might be something they would be prepared to do as a special occasion.

I was trying to find the post…I am sure there was talk of an alternative The Three Doctors story.
An audio version of that we be a great way to celebrate the originals 50th anniversary and start the festivities for the 60th.
Plus it would be an ideal release to tempt listeners who are unsure about recasts.

Yeah Nick Briggs mentioned it in The Big Finish Podcast i guess it would be Stephen Noonan, Michael Troughton and Tim Trelore with Jon Culshaw, Frazer Hines and Katy Manning in the cast?
Would be hilarious if BF got Brian Blessed to reprise his role as Omega

As regards speculation in another thread notthebigfinishforum.freeforums.net/post/327755/threadhow many Doctors do we seriously expect to hear in Diamond Nemesis, as I hope they call it? Do we really think all fourteen is plausible? (Never mind the Valyard, or the Unbound Doctor, or the Doctor of War). They kind of crowbarred 1-3 and 10 into "Legacy of Time", I hope that's not the idea this time around. (Granted, 1-3 were also crowbarred into the 50th anniversary story, but at least they didn't just come in, find they weren't needed, and go away again)

With so many Doctors to handle, I think the best thing they could do is some form of linking releases, like Destiny of the Doctor. Just do some bloody good stories with various TARDIS teams and range formats and bring it all together in the end.
The alternative would be an Out of Time-esque approach where you do a series of multi-Doctor stories, but of course with so many combinations, that’ll be quite difficult. You also have Eccleston not being keen on a multi-Doctor, War Doctor who should probably remain distant, no Smith, Capaldi, etc.
My preference would be to avoid some big interaction between all the different incarnations. There’s a lot to handle, it ends up generic, quippy and they’re clearly not recording together so the conversation doesn’t flow.

I must admit to being sceptical of any big singular release. The last big celebration of such a scale, Masterful, had clearly been written to be recorded in disparate chunks, with the various subplots each being entirely irrelevant to each other and the actual ending, presumably to enable them to be cut if any recording fell through due to actor availability. As a result it was a very unsatisfying listen, as it simply didn’t come together. We know Big Finish have done a similar approach of disparate recording for the 60th, as they’ve supposedly got bits in the can already, which does give me pause for tonight.
My hope is we’re more in for a more The Legacy of Time-style release, with a series of stories that feed into one central plot that is resolved at the end. Plus that would enable Doctors not able/willing to be involved in multi-Doctor shenanigans directly to have a role.
