Most characters that have been played by performers that have since died have been recast so I hope Big Finish will do the same for Victoria to give her more adventures with the Doctor and Jamie.

I could see it happening. But considering how recent Deborah Watling’s passing was I doubt it will happen for the foreseeable.

Well i could imagine Mary Tamm's Romana being recast
Victoria is a possibility but i hope it wont happen for a while
would rather have new companions created if possible

In the context of a full crew recast (like the David Bradley 1st Dr stories) that included a recast of Jamie, then yes, I could see it happening sooner rather than later. But if you mean a recast Victoria playing opposite Frazer Hines then I think that will be a while away yet, if ever.
Did Deborah Watling have a daughter?
(Should this thread be in the Dr Who board?)

And which they’ve been very successful in doing so, so far.

Peter Purves reprised his role as Steven in the Secrets of Det-Sen which featured a recast Dodo (Lauren Cornelius) so I don't see why Frazer shouldn't play Jamie opposite a recast Victoria.

There's also the question of whether the structure of the plays require recast actors. Ben and the Brig (and, I believe, Dodo) were reintroduced because their absence was causing problems (too many lines for Hines, reduced UNIT stories for the 3DAs, and I believe low opportunity for using Maureen O'Brien as Vicki). I'm not sure whether Victoria is a required character in the same way, at least not at present.

I expect they will one day, but with the Second Doctor adventures going into 6B territory, they'll probably be focusing on Jamie and maybe new companions (or solo stories) for a bit.

Peter Purves's feelings about a recast of an actress he'd worked with relatively briefly more than fifty years ago could very well be different than Frazer Hines's feelings about a recast of an actress he worked with for several years on the show and has done multiple Big Finish audios and conventions with. I can't speak to his feelings on this matter and maybe he'd see it as honouring her legacy, but I could easily see how he might not be comfortable with it and I don't think any actor should be put in a situation where they don't feel comfortable. Recasts are probably inevitable as time marches on, but this one might be a while off since Big Finish seems to be focusing on 6B at the moment and that's a whole new era to explore.

She's my least favorite companion in all of Who, so I'm not keen on this happening for a long time.

"They recast the 20th Doctor for the 5th time. Do you agree?"
