I think Ian would be perfect. Ian knows about the Time War, he seems to hold the Doctor and more importantly rhe idea of the Doctor in high regard, and …. Well it’s WILLIAM RUSSELL. Sadly i think William Russel is retired so if Ian was to make an appearance it would be Jamie Glover's Ian from The 1DAs Well, that still works dramatically, but might lose the “I know about the Time War, I know you fought” aspect that comes from using Sir Ian, rather than “just returned to London” Ian.

Considering the end of The Silurians, a Brig/Vastra story would be interesting at some point, although I guess one of them would have to travel through time for that meeting to be possible.

A transition between old and new UNIT is neat. I must confess to remembering practically nothing about Sam despite having heard four new-UNIT sets (the characters are just not that memorable).

Huh. Must admit I was expect Churchill or Madame Vastra to be making an appearance. But I certainly never expected Sam! Still, I’m pleasantly surprised in any case and I’ll be curious to see what they do with it.
This does rather beg the question though, in any of the UNIT or Lady Christina sets has Sam ever mentioned he met the Doctor once?

Unexpected but interesting choice to look at Sam Bishop's origins. Although I must say I find him potentially the least interesting member of the UNIT team but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Nice to have some story details! It’s also nice to have a crossover between Classic and New UNIT… Sam is fine but like others have said he’s a little forgettable, so hopefully this story gives him some interesting backstory.

Exciting! I’ve known about David K Barnes’ story for a while after talking about it for my podcast and waiting to share that clip. I’m also a huge fan of Sam Bishop and Warren Brown so this is an added bonus to the Series finale!
However, The Brig stands out like a sore thumb in that cover doesn’t he.

In Vol 3, the Doctor noted that the TARDIS kept ending up in Scotland lately - wonder if that's going to be a plot point, given the title/setting of the season finale!

Glad to see they are using the Sarah Jane adventures brigadier image than the battlefield one

Also something to note: It looks like the photo of warren is from praxis so the first chibnall era image used for big finish

So I have a theory.. Whoever is designing the covers for this particular series is a KISS fan (and awesome!) : Not the exact same shade of blue, purple, red, green but...

Great to see Juliet Stevenson on the cast list, she was always my choice as a Time War era Rani to sit alongside John Hurt and Derek Jacobi, one can dream

First Alex Jennings for Volume Three and then Juliet Stevenson for Volume Four? Blimey, they’re getting some pretty big names for the Ninth Doctor Adventures, aren’t they?
Not sure if that’s just because a project with Eccleston holds some weight or merely actors are more available in this terrible time of COVID.
