Thanks for posting this @davygallagher! I had never even heard of this bridge before, let alone seen it. It's gorgeous!

No probs. As The Doctor noted, it was considered an impossible structure to build at the time, but in an era where Scots were inventin telephones, televsion, penicilin and much more, "impossible" didnt seem an issue. Some of it looks much different, perhaps this is the Cybertomb And heres Queensferry, where the story mostly takes place. This is the seafront, onto the Firth but its a town of about 9,000 overall. Genesis made a pun on it back in the Gabriel era - this is the Firth Of Forth, so they made a tune called Firth Of Fifth.

Finally got around to my CultBox review of 'Old Friends' - a couple of great stories focussing on the power of memory.

Fond Farewell by David K Barnes.
It's remarkable how BF have captured ther rollercoaster feel of the 9th Doctor's stories, while never appearing to copy RTD's approach in any obvious way. This is quite simply another really enjoable, and rather throught-provoking story with a commited lead performance from Chris Eccleston. When these 9DAs were announced, I wondered if he would appear incomplete without a regular travelling companion, especially someone as memorable as Rose; but not a bit of it - his Doctor is the lonesome - but not lonely - traveller in space and time, and Chris's performance is a good fit for that.
The dark plot line never tips into undue melancholy and is from one scene to another, dramatic, sinister and light-hearted. As creepy catchphrases go, 'I am still here' is an effective one.

Absolutely fantastic, a superb set of stories, the 2 part Cybermen story in particular was tense, exciting, suspenseful & brilliantly acted.
Chris as the Ninth Doctor has really come into his own & shined throughout these 4 box sets & I'm looking forward to hearing more.
9/10

Yeah, still awaiting a despatch e-mail myself. I seem to recall on of the Dalek Universe releases was shipped without any despatch e-mail though, so you never know...

Way of the Burryman/The Forth Generation by Roy Gill
I find end-of-season epics a mixed bag. Very difficult to get right, I think. In all honesty, I often find smaller more intimate stories to my liking. As such, I really enjoyed the reflective moments with an older Brigadier and The Doctor more than the sprawling Cyber-story, a lot of which had a ring of familiarity about it. The standard of the 9DAs has been very high, and this finale didn't quite match many of them. Good but not quite great.

So just following up, has anyone received a dispatch email and/or the actual vinyl copy of "Old Friends" yet?

So just following up, has anyone received a dispatch email and/or the actual vinyl copy of "Old Friends" yet? Still nothing for me. They've had trouble getting their vinyl stock for certain releases over the last year or so though, so I'd give it another month or so before maybe sending an e-mail their way. That's what I'd do, anyway

Looks like Vinyls are arriving for UK Costumers BF Tweet Regards mark687 I received another courtesy email from BF asking if my residential address I gave (MIL's) is still ok to send my vinyls to as they don't send vinyls to PO Boxes. I love how they follow up every time. Great customer service.
