"Patience by Tim Foley
Twisted Folklore by Lizzie Hopley
Snow by James Kettle
What Just Happened? by John Dorney "
"Stranded 3 finds the TARDIS team facing the Judoon for the first time, in box set opener Patience, and wrestling with a narrative that runs backwards from devastating consequences to their cause in the final episode What Just Happened? – as we hurtle towards the end of the Stranded saga... "
OOH.. Lots to discuss here..!

No mention of most of the Baker Street Regulars or The Curator, Judoon hope its domestically set one, the other 2 stories sound creepy and time malarkey respectively.
Be interesting if this does give stronger overall plot direction.

Funny enough this is the first boxset to not feature Tom Baker on the cover perhaps he makes a cameo at the end

Judging by the arrangement of characters on the cover, I'll be surprised if this is the final design - they've got all the companions but one on the Doctor's left, and two Judoon on the right. I'll bet at least one of them's a place-holder.

You know, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out that the Curator has called in the Judoon for some as yet unknown reason. Be the equivalent of making an anonymous police report.
Rest of the stories sound great. Almost akin to Sapphire and Steel in some aspects.

Honestly though after Vol 2 i have lost faith in Big Finish's 8th Doctor range so i would likely not waste my money on Vol 3 or 4

Yes!!! Absolutely hyped to bits for this release! I wonder what recognisable monster/character (for marketing/story purposes) will be in the fourth boxset though. I'm hoping for Kate and/or Osgood! Also, that John Dorney story title may go down as one of my favourite episode titles in ALL Doctor Who. So excited!

Oh, man, the wait until December is gonna be agonizing... Stranded 3 is easily my most-anticipated upcoming release, and I could not possibly be more excited after the sheer perfection of Stranded 2.
"What just happened?" Is one heckuva title for the ultimate story and makes me think--with a curious mixture of trepidation and giddy excitement--it's gonna close out the set with a completely bonkers cliffhanger.
....
On a random note, anyone else a bit disappointed by the cover? It's not bad or anything, but the teal just doesn't have that same lovely "pop" of the prior orange and yellow covers.

Quite the opposite for me actually, I think the teal makes for a nice change.

The Judoon feel underused overall (if they're space cops with jurisdiction that spans thousands of years and all of the galaxy, shouldn't we see them all the time?) so I'm glad to see them back.
Also, people noting the Curator is absent - he said himself that he was going away in The Long Way Round because he'd stayed "too long" in this timeframe. I assumed he meant he had to leave the alternate timeline being created to return to the main one... so I'm going to make an assumption that he won't show up again until the final episode of Stranded.

Judoon, ok.
Tbh the ‘consequences leading to cause’ premise is more intriguing than the big rhino boys.

Definitely the most anticipated release for me in the coming months. I have really enjoyed the series so far. I also like everybody's ideas and suggestions what might happen and the theories what is going on. Plus, I also agree on this cover..... something is missing. I also would guess that there will a surprise waiting for us!

Quite the opposite for me actually, I think the teal makes for a nice change. I think 5e top half looks really good, but on the bottom half the teal is too dark so there's not enough contrast between it and the black of the characters. As for the cover "hiding" something... is there any precedent for that? Seems like an awful lotta trouble to make a "false" or misleading cover just for the handful of fans who're gonna scrutinize them in the moths before release.

Also happened with Subterfuge as well as I seem to remember where the Monk was added to the front cover.

A Death in the Family had Hex replaced on the dummy cover they released, so they could tease him leaving in the story beforehand.

A Death in the Family had Hex replaced on the dummy cover they released, so they could tease him leaving in the story beforehand. That's a very interesting one because the spot reserved for Hex was taken up by Ian Reddington as Nobody No-One - who never appeared on a cover otherwise! EDIT: I've just noticed, looking at that cover, that Evelyn's wearing one of Colin's cat badges. Bless.
