I asked this question in an email for the BF podcast yesterday, but it didn't make it in so I decided to post it here instead. Even though Big Finish have their own website, there are other company's that have both a website and a catalogue.
I was going to post this last night, but the new series was starting so I left it till this morning.

It’s a great idea and could easily be incorporated into vortex magazine Problem would be is listing the prices due to many counties having different currencies

I think as recently as five years ago that would be a terrific idea but as the audio drama industry moves further & further into the digital realm I question the necessity of printing a physical catalog.

Do catalogs still exist? Like... at all? I haven't seen any since I was a kid.

Big Finish would probably consider printing a physical catalogue, and keeping it updated, a waste of time and money...

Big Finish would probably consider printing a physical catalogue, and keeping it updated, a waste of time and money... yes much as it would be great the output is so great...i would consider a great big version like the Companion of all the Vortexes in bound form lol or a Big Finish Revisited book of the Vortexes i would so love to read how the writers and stars feel about the material now that decades have passed and the main range has finished.Am always taking my Vortexes for a reread in cafes as i hate reading on iPads 😂

A few years ago it would have been a terrific idea but I’d imagine now it would just be too costly to do so.
Maybe a digital catalogue could be an idea though?

No we don't, but a good BF website would be nice where you can actually find stuff.

Do catalogs still exist? Like... at all? I haven't seen any since I was a kid. Same boat. Couldn't even tell you the last time I saw a print catalogue. Seems like a bit of a pointless expense to me (as it apparently already decades before occurred to pretty much everyone else who was printing one).

I was on board with the new website when they launched it, but the dropdowns have grown so bulky as to be more difficult than helpful, and the endless scrolling has been irritating from day 1. Designing your browser interface to be an identical interface to a tablet is just....cardinal sin of website design.

I get a bit frustrated when i have to scroll through and see the "freebies/part 1 of.." cluttering up the screen.

What if they did a catalogue for each year For example at the start of the 2022 year there would be a Catalogue or all the audios coming out that year with the cover The website wouldn’t have all the artwork and details revealed as normal But the catalogue would be the one that has all the sneak previews for that year alone

What’s this endless scroll everybody keeps talking about? I haven’t seen anything like that to my knowledge.

I assume it's the thing where 100% of search results appear on the same page, but it only loads a few at a time as you scroll down. Compared to basically any other website with a search bar where you get multiple pages you can cycle between with a set, finite number of results. I never saw the old website, but yeah, the current one has issues. Like... no list view, really? And when scrolling on mobile, the whole thing will often crash while scrolling down. It's a hot mess far beyond the media organization issues.
