Went on Twitter expecting the usual "THAT WAS SO GOOD" reaction, but I keep seeing people who didn't like it that much - including the criticism that we didn't know why Bel was important until the end - like... that's just how stories are told sometimes??? Ah well. For what it's worth, I liked it. Still kind of hard to judge any of it conclusively until the whole thing's done, though! (Oh, and it's conclusive that Jo Martin is in the past now. We technically never got a definitive yes last season, just a very loud probably!) I tend to see the usual manbabies with the usual moaning on twitter. That’s not fair dude…. everyone entitled to an opinion we listen to yours often enough…… tollerance!

It is fair given what I have seen on twitter. You don't have to listen to my opinion. There is an ignore feature. & I never said anyone isn't entitled to their opinion.

Hmm. For this one, lines from the wonderful HMS Pinafore come to mind.
Things are seldom what they seem. Skimmed milk masquerades as cream.

"The Angels have the Tardis!" Hmmm.... sounds familiar? Anyways, this suffers from typical middle episode syndrome. Visually it is great, but it just presents us with an upturned box of puzzle pieces and not much fits together. I will of course make much more sense when seen in the context of the whole series. However, seeing Jo Martin again was awesome. I wish we could have seen more of a flashback.

3.76 million overnight viewers apparently (forgive me if this has been mentioned already), just a slight drop from last week. Maybe the Weepers will signal a rise next week?
I'll be watching this tomorrow and I cannot wait.

While I've been liking this much, much, much more than anything from the last two series it does feel like a show being made by someone who doesn't care anymore. Chibber's knows he's not going to get the critical acclaim or bring back the casual viewers so he's just doing whatever he wants. And on the one hand I say, good for him but on the other hand he's making it harder for Russell. He's basically going to be in the same position he was back in 2005 of having to persuade people to watch again. Am of the opinion that we had RTD do we need him back?Just as Much as we do not need Moffat back.....surely there must be someone out there willing to take on the poisoned Chalice...what about Nick Briggs 😂 for one i have resumed weekly watching and that’s a good thing am enjoying the puzzle and am enjoying the longer tale with cliffhangers (which get spoiled by the next week thing lol)Viewing figures i dont worry about ever will i buy this on blu ray-certainly will more money for the beeb...its enjoyable, cinematic and totally different at the moment and glad Chibnall is doing what he wants he may pul it off he may not but hey...am on for the ride i have for the first time enjoyed Jodies more gutsy approach this time.

If they act like man babies I will refer to them as such.

Agree about RTD. Wish we had someone fresh & new as next showrunner. Maybe someone outside of fandom.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Weeping Angels give the ratings a bit of a boost - plus it looks like it'll be a nice creepy, atmospheric episode so I'm sure it's going to be great.

On reflection, I do wish that we'd had more Jo Martin once we had the initial reveal over with. I know it's Jodie's show but it's a shame that they didn't have more of Jo in the flashbacks rather than Jodie doing the majority of it with occasional flashes to the Fugitive Doctor.

I actually thought it was great the way it was done More Jodie less Jo and at least Jodie looked at the reflection knowing who she was seeing whereas Jo was looking back going who the hell is that

I did a rewatch today, mainly to get my head round the new lore (god I need a hobby). I do think Yaz and Dan’s storylines were very weak compared to Vinder and the Doctor’s. Bel’s story is just an odd addition all in all.
