Ah, okay. Seems I got a bit ahead of myself. I guess I should have kept the title's meaning in mind more.
Since it's an anniversary thing, I cannot imagine Peri -not- making an appearance. I expect BF will do their best to include every one of the 5th Doctor's companions. So maybe Vol. 2 will have Turlough, Peri and Erimem?

I reckon that would be rather big news if they could persuade Caroline Morris to reprise her role as Erimem for one last adventure. I do think it’s rather unlikely though.

I think the chances of Erimem returning are very low. The chances of Erimem returning played by Caroline Morris are absolute zero.

I dont think its impossible as even Caroline may be feeling nostalgic now it being so long ago and no reason a revisit to Peladon couldn’t be on the cards. Strangely 5 was not my Doctor-Jon And Tom being my fond memories growing up but on audio i absolutely love Peters Doctor he just works so well even if most of the scripts go over his head😂and he does admit that and i think its why i enjoy him playing the role...Imagine if BF had been televised what a great run of stories he would have had. I think it’s the fact he sounds much older than he was during the television series that does it for me. Really gets across the idea of he being some wise ancient being in the body of a young man.

Because you'd think it'd be pretty quick to record just one story, especially if it's a smaller role in that story. Hell, she could record lines over the phone, and if the quality wasn't up to snuff it'd be easy enough to apply some filters and use it in the story in the context of a recording or transmitted message/communication.

I heard someone saying that It’s “problematic” because The voice actress isn’t the same race as the character so it’s considered whitewashing

Apart from the fact that yes, it's not really appropriate to have a white actress play someone of colour (and I believe Nick has said something to the effect that they probably shouldn't have done so in the first place and would do so differently today), Caroline has been retired from acting for years.

Honestly when it comes to voice acting i think anyone can really play anyone Voice Actors like Kimberly Brookes playing characters like Batgirl/Barbara Gordon or Phil Lamar playing Samurai Jack being prime examples

Neither of those has been in production for years, and Kimberley Brookes' incarnation of Barbara Gordon was only heard in voice-over anyway.
A more relevant example would be the recent recasting of all characters of colour in The Simpsons so they're no longer being voiced by white actors. Just because in voice acting "anyone can play anyone", that doesn't mean it's a good idea for white people to play minorities.

It's been a while since I've read up on it, but last time I dove into Egypt stuff (circa 2013) there was some debate about the ethnic make-up of ancient Egypt, with some evidence indicating that they may have had considerably darker skin than the usual depictions.
But, like... I don't really see this as a whitewashing issue, unless Big Finish was was fiddling with the covers to make her appear to have different physical characteristics. The Egyptians of today are... not the same people who lived there 3,000 years ago. Too many conquests... and even ignoring that history, the Mediterranean civilizations were, in general, pretty diverse owing to all of the sea trade and travel. Like, obviously, our modern conceptualization of race is a fairly recent construct, but I never really got the impression Erimem was supposed to be "exoticized" as a minority--at least on audio. The comics seem to be another story....
Nevermind That Erimem is already cast and established, and in this hypothetical story she'd be making a "final" appearance, so I very much doubt anyone would be inclined to make a controversy out of it.

... Interesting pre release Spoiler Regards mark687 A further look at the synopses and somehow first time round I missed that Secrets of Telos is the Doctor, Tegan and Nyssa, but God of War features the Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa, and Adric. It seems that the latter definitely takes place before the former... intriguing...

I suppose the next logical step will be to start taking bets on who is bouncing the Doctor around his timeline?
If it’s not an original threat from Big Finish my money is on the Ainley Master.

The final line in the synopsis for God of War is interesting - "The Doctor’s about to find that his biggest battle may be with his own conscience." What if it's the Doctor himself?

That could be quite interesting. Especially considering the Fifth Doctor is among the more sensitive incarnations. I could quite easily see him choosing to send his consciousness back through his own time stream to more “innocent” and “happier” times. If only to avoid having to deal with the losses he has suffered.

Just heard the trailer. Pretty decent. My only gripe is the lack of Nyssa, Tegan and Adric.

Perhaps the Fifth Doctor (Or maybe even a future/alternative timeline Doctor) is trying to manipulate the timelines to avert the death of Adric? The first story (Return To Telos) does feature the Cybermen after all!
