Perhaps the Fifth Doctor (Or maybe even a future/alternative timeline Doctor) is trying to manipulate the timelines to avert the death of Adric? The first story (Return To Telos) does feature the Cybermen after all! It doesn't feature Adric though... It does acknowledge his death though. And remember, according to the synopsis and the trailer, these boxsets feature the Fifth Doctor from BEFORE Earthshock, so maybe the Doctor decides in the second story (God Of War, which does feature Adric) To try and change the future by telling Adric of his fate. And timey wimey chaos ensues!

Now I’m just wondering whose else they have got lined up for the second volume of Forty that is associated with Peter Davison.
Amanda Redman, perhaps?

Considering how highly Big Finish seemed to speak of her when she did The Crooked Man I could see them being keen to work with her again.

Regards mark687 If she was in it, I would love to have her character interact with Sarah Sutton as Nyssa. I wonder if they'll also get in Robert Glenister who was with Peter in Sink or Swim.

Blimey, he’s worked with a lot of people over the years hasn’t he?

Hello everyone! Christopher Timothy as Professor Parry. Hmm. I suppose that makes sense considering Aubrey Richards was a Welsh actor. I wonder who would have played Professor Parry if the character was played by a Scottish actor and for this 'Forty' box set, he was played by Nicholas Ralph instead. Barbara Flynn as Professor Vansom...or is it Tecteun in disguise. Tim

Have to admit the trailer was a bit 'meh' for me. Davison is my Doctor and BF have done so many great things and brought back all of his tv companions along the way - remember when Sarah Sutton was 'one a year', Mark Strickson was always unavailable and Janet and Matthew were as likely to be involved as Tom Baker or Christopher Eccleston! Coming hot on the heels of the superb Marc stories another set of adventures which focus on Adric's fate feels a bit like overkill and I'm not a fan of the overuse of returning foes - another sequel prequel to Tomb ffs... The best stories that celebrate any era often evoke it whilst being new at the same time. Iterations of I is a prime example - feels Season 19 throughout yet completely new at the same time. Yet, I am always open to being surprised and the trailer could be a big misdirection as to the content and dialogue of the stories. Also I can't deny I'm looking forward to Christopher Timothy's Big Finish debut!

Also I can't deny I'm looking forward to Christopher Timothy's Big Finish debut! I understand your trepidation, but at the same time I'm pretty optimistic. These two sets feel more like loosely-related short stories, and I think Big Finish tends to be really good at those. I don't know that they'll really be able to mis-use or over-use the recurring antagonists because they probably won't have time to do so. Also, glad to see some love being tossed (again) at Iterations of I. That one's very near to the top of my, "to listen to next" list, and I'm definitely looking forward to it more and more each time I see someone comment on how much they like it (which seems to happen every time people talk about the 5th Doctor's audio stories).

Rightly so, Iterations of I is one of the best - if not the best - Fifth Doctor stories that Big Finish have produced.

I didn’t listen to the drama tease for the Lost Resort part 1 before buying it.

I know they’re supposed to whet your appetite, but I’ve had this ordered since about day 2 😂 I’m looking forward to the celebration!!

Fingers crossed for a release tomorrow. I’ve really been looking forward to this release! Doing a rewatch of Tomb of the Cybermen tonight in the hope that Forty 1 will come out tomorrow (and let's be honest, it's 40 years to the day tomorrow, so I can see it as likely).
