What a life, and to have had a hand in two British institutions (Who and W&G) is something many could only dream of.

Baker's contributions to Doctor Who (Omega, K9, the first multi-Doctor story) are enough by themselves to ensure a legacy, but it's the Wallace and Gromit films that I'll remember him most for. I watched The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave so many times on VHS as a kid, and loved The Curse of the Were Rabbit and A Matter of Loaf and Death when they came out as well. (I was sure A Matter of Loaf and Death was more recent than 2008. It doesn't feel like over ten years ago...) RIP

Weirdly I somehow didn't know til today that he was involved in Wallace & Gromit - those classic shorts are fantastic.
Of course he wrote some big hits for Who as well! (Three Doctors being probably my favourite Classic Who story.) And he obviously loved his silly metal dog - and so should he! RIP to an absolute legend.

This one hurts. Bob Baker along the other Bristol Boy as well as Terrence Dicks, Bob Holmes, Phillip Hinchcliffe shaped the Doctor Who era that I first fell in love with and the one I return to most often.

Farewell to the last writer of the Pertwee Era.
Definitely someone proud of his work on our favorite show, working on his passion projects until the end.
I am especially looking forward to his posthumous interviews in the next bluray.
