Here we go, Maxine Alderton returns!
Devon, November 1967. A little girl has gone missing. Professor Eustacius Jericho (Kevin McNally) is conducting psychic experiments. And in the village graveyard, there is one gravestone too many. Why is Medderton known as “The Cursed Village”? And what do the Weeping Angels want?

An autumnal Weeping Angels story set in a rural village with a spooky graveyard written by Maxine Alderton! Bring it on! & I think this is where we will see Claire again. The pics look like they are from the same episode.

As the only episode with a co-writer I wonder if it was going to be part of the original version of Series 13 and Chibnall added the Flux specific elements to it?

As the only episode with a co-writer I wonder if it was going to be part of the original version of Series 13 and Chibnall added the Flux specific elements to it? I feel like this is very likely. In fact, I think this is why Chibnall has written all the episodes this series - I think when they realised they couldn’t do 10 episodes due to COVID they dumped all the standalone episodes and just kept episodes related to the Flux arc, which naturally would have been written by Chibnall.

{Spoiler} Mandip wipes the floor with the pair of them after her 'I'm not very good at this' bluff!

It appears The Independent has (accidentally, presumably) released their review early. So beware of spoilers...

I thought it was a preview and am pretty annoyed by the massive spoiler I read in it.

Good but Frustrating Clear positives Claire and the Prof and everything up to the Reveal and Cliff-hanger great, Dan and Yaz very good (again though chip away at Yaz's strengths why?) Now takeaways Bel and Vinder are obviously the wildcards that will screw up the grand scheme somehow. And the Doctor's finally caught by the Division (that's always been around ), so will they affect Swarm's current scheme any determinable way? Regards mark687

So, here's an episode that addresses (almost) all my gripes thus far with Flux as an arc. Alderton has hit another bullseye. returning the Angels to their scary majesty, and possibly Stone's best directing work on the show to date.
And what an ending!

I don’t know what to think of that. A mixture of Angels doing scary Angel things, plus a load of Division twists that I have no idea what to even make of. There is So Much the last two episodes have to tie-up now. There is no way this can all be paid off, surely.
Full list of current loose ends--The Doctor is recalled to the Division (and is now an Angel!?) alongside the Weeping Angel squad -Yaz and Dan marooned in 1901 -Vinder & Bel -Swarm and Azure’s plan, involving the freed Time Force and abducting people in Passenger under guise of saving them -The Flux itself -The Williamson Tunnels -The mysterious woman who knows the cause of all of this
