What next? The Lone Centurion in 1960s Gotham meeting Batman? You scoff but don’t act like that wouldn’t make for an entertaining boxset. Anyway, it’s not like Camelot and the Arthurian myth has never featured in Who before.

What next? The Lone Centurion in 1960s Gotham meeting Batman? Since The Doctor is/will be Merlin, and we met Morgaine, Mordred and Excalibur in 1989 on screen....what possible issue do you have? Its not like this is new.

Its not like this is new. Also worth noting this is literally set in an alternate timeline where everything was drawn from Amy's memories. Looking forward to this set, it's a lovely cover. I've loved all of Caroline Tankersley's so far, actually.

The first volume was, along with Missy, probably my least favourite set from Big Finish this year. I didn’t think it was fun or farcical and did a disservice to Arthur, who seemingly just couldn’t get to grips with the material, and ultimately it just lacked heart. I’d have much preferred an anthology with Rory in different time periods and a variety of stories, rather than coasting through a period a set.
I was so disappointed, though I’m prepared to give it another go with Camelot, as Rory is such a favourite of mine.

That doesn't matter, liking or not liking is clearly was not what you were implying but that it makes no sense to set a story in Camelot. Rory is in a place established on screen as part of Doctor Who. Your point seems to be that he may as well be in a place completely ridiculous and nonsensical, and outside the bounds of DW. And, hey - listen to Legend Of The Cybermen - hear Dracula lament the death of Little Lord Fauntleroy and the Artful Dodger taking on Cybermen. You are - amazingly - allowed to reserve judgement without incessant negativity before hearing so much as the ident in context.

Fine you disagree but how's about you stop trying to belittle my opinion davygallagher.

I notice this time the preview Interviews are clearly saying its ranging to pure farce to high drama in a almost "Let the Beware" way. Regards mark687

And the award for the dullest Big Finish box set goes to...?
I wasn't keen on the first volume, but Rory is a favourite of mine, so decided to give Camelot the benefit. It's just so unengaging. Big Finish really struggle with comedy, but I don't think this set raised a single smile from me, let alone a laugh. If you're going to go for something farcical and comedic, then get the right writers in. Or if you're trying to go for something with a lot of heart, then go for it. Instead we just meander round for three hours, seemingly not quite knowing what it's doing or trying to achieve. I really struggle to reconcile what Arthur talks about with this set and what we get, particularly given he didn't want to just touch upon what he'd already done.
This should've been an anthology through the ages, penned by some comic talent. Instead it's a frustratingly dull six hours that I can barely remember. That's it from me and this range, although I'd be shocked if they commissioned more, as they seem to have been and gone with such little fanfare.

They should have gotten James Goss, Clayton Hickman or Nev Fountain in to write the episodes

Batman I don't know about (although we've had a Batmobile in the series before), but I still reckon they should've done a comic where the thirteenth Doctor was teamed with DC's Doctor Thirteen.
(Hmm. Camelot seems to be turning into newWho's Atlantis. There are.. what, four versions in DW so far? Five?)

So they just let Hugh Skinner do that voice for the whole thing then? That was certainly a choice for an otherwise very good actor...

MY take on Camelot is up at CultBox... fun, a great double act with Darvill & Skinner, but I'm not convinced the series has much more to give unless it does something different.
