Well, with their return in a few months, why not go over their original 70s adventure and how everyone here feels. It's got the Master, got sword duels and got high speed water chases. What else could you ask for?

What else could you ask for? More Sea Devils, obviously. More seriously, yeah, this is basically the quintessential 3rd Doctor story. Pretty much any time I imagine the Pertwee era, an image from this story pops up first (well, when it's not just the generic image of the Doctor puttering about in his lab when the Brig strides in all full of authority and whatnot).

My 1st 3rd Doctor story (care of the 1992 repeat season).
Fast Paced, Excellent design work, Drlgado, and a Sword Fight what more could you want?!

Well, I love it! The Sea Devils is a classic. The Doctor and Jo out and about, The Master with a silly evil scheme, plus scary monsters coming out of the sea... (Well, scary enough when I was watching it in 1972!) This was Doctor Who at it's most entertaining.

Haven’t seen the tv adventure in a while, but I enjoyed it. Currently listening to the audiobook read by Geoffrey Beevers. I’ve listened to Malcolm Hulke’s novel adaptation of Colony in Space (Doctor Who and the Doomsday Weapon) which isn’t as good as the tv version. I don’t know about the Sea Devils yet although I’ve heard that it omits the sword fight between the Doctor and the Master.

I love it too. Everything I like about the 3rd Doctor era really. The team Brigadier, Jo and 3 are one of my faborites, and this is one of their best outings. Plus, the Master is on top of his game. And just looking at that sword fight between Master and Doctor. What is not to love?
