I do wonder what with the continued presence of Naomi and Harry how far these sets will tie into the soon to be released Fourth Doctor Adventures?

Exactly hence a reason why I'm holding off on getting these, is there a risk of Spoilers in these sets for stories that are't due to released for another year After this UNIT Arc is due to End? Looks like we’ve also got at least one new writer with Kenneth Grant in this set.

UNIT vs the Quarks isn't something I was clamouring for, but I'll keep an open mind. Really enjoyed the first set on the whole and I like that the new volume is building on that, with more detail about the arch, Eleven's plans, etc. Looking forward to the Bambera story, I'm fond of tales told in different time zones and it'll scratch the itch to hear more from her, as a whole new range doesn't appeal to me. I hope they develop Harry and Naomi more in this set, I really didn't see the purpose of them in the first one and I say that as someone who considers Harry to be my favourite companion!

I love the Quarks so much XD The serial they're from is mediocre at best but honestly I love the little guys! Plus Bambera! SO EXCITED! Now if only we can start getting some Raine Creevy since we're bringing back characters from a while ago...

I liked the intrigue built up in The Man from Gallifrey, but I was surprised at how exposition heavy and descriptive it is, which is an audio bug bear of mine and not what I’d expect from Andrew Smith. It didn’t help that most of the cast all sounded lifeless, like they were reading the lines and nothing else. Hoping it improves as the set goes on.

I agree The Man from Gallifrey is very exposition heavy, but I didn’t find any performances lacking, in fact I found all of them pretty good! Jemma Redgrave really pulled of a colder Kate in this one, and Mark Bonnar and Glen McCready as Hasper was a fun addition. And speaking of new cast members, I really liked Chris Lew Kim Hoi as Lt Jimmy Tan. A more youthful Shindi, but the performance has a different feel to it, though I can’t quite find the word for it yet.
Looking forward to Power of the Dominators!

Power of the Dominators was a much better platform for Harry than the Ice Warrior story in the previous set and I haven't quite got to grips with Naomi yet, but I am liking her. I appreciate that this is seemingly set after their travels with the Doctor, but I would like something a bit more substantial about why they're there. It sometimes feels a bit too "knowing". As a listener we're at a disadvantage and the characters are too because they're using a real life constraint (the Fourth Doctor sets not yet released) against in universe characters. It doesn't age well. The contrast between their use in the previous set and this is like night and day, but something beyond Harry remarking at how bigger a telly is in 2022 and Naomi hinting they've encountered the Dominators before would be welcomed.
Having said all that, I thought Power of the Dominators was a lot of fun. Good use of them and a fun, albeit glorified cameo for the Quraks. I enjoy that Nemesis is moving away from the bigger arcs dominating the set and allows opportunities for the day-to-day of Kate, Osgood and the gang whilst their investigations into the Eleven, the arch, etc. are simmering away. It's good to move away from the epics, the world threats and the shooting to get something that is investigative and pacy, yet allows the leads to shine.

The War Factory has so much going on that none of it fully feels fleshed out really and seems very constrained at an hour long; double that and it could’ve been something quite special. Bambera serves little purpose except for the obligatory Brigadier mentions to Kate and to be a backdoor pilot for her own range. In the end it coasts for the duration, against a constant backdrop of shooting and explosions. Speaking of which, it’s really hard to picture that our leads stop and have long conversations amongst all the fighting, and yet it happens frequently in this! A real slip up in the direction and sound design there.
The above sounds very critical. It’s a fun story, but very hollow due to the sheer potential that’s not tapped into.

Power of the Dominators was good fun, and was genuinely really funny, but I think it was 15 minutes too long. Harry and Naomi were great in this, and Naomi and Osgood’s chemistry was a real highlight. I appreciated the standalone aspect of this one.
All together, I do hope we see Kenneth Grant writing again!
