Does anyone know why this box set has been delayed. I know it's probably Covid related, but which features for the box set do they still need to produce?
I've decided to watch Season 20 all the way through followed by the first three stories at least of Season 21 to fill the time.

I’m looking forward to that car journey documentary they did.

I believe COVID has put a delay on getting Mark Strickson’s involvement for some of the features, as he lives in New Zealand.
If it wasn’t for somebody mentioning the Amsterdam location work done for a feature in 2019 I don’t think we’d have known about S20. Same for the City of Death commentary for S17, which only got released last month.
Essentially, banking on special features isn’t unusual!

I think it was mentioned at a convention back in 2019. Presumably it was banked as Lalla was moving to Hong Kong.

I think possibly COVID issues, but there’s nothing to say it’s been “delayed” - we know that they’ve been working on material for various seasons to bank them. We knew they were working on some S17 features a couple of years ago. It’s possible that they weren’t planning to release it any time soon anyway.

I can’t remember what Peter, Sarah and Janet said about it at the Bedford Who Charity Con. Tim Bradley will probably remember.

I can’t remember what Peter, Sarah and Janet said about it at the Bedford Who Charity Con. Tim Bradley will probably remember. Vaguely. I know I asked them the question when at Bedford.
Peter, Sarah and Janet recorded a road trip when making for a 'Timelash' convention in Germany back in October 2019. I recall Sarah telling me about doing the trip in Glasgow two months before she went with Peter and Janet. I had no idea it would be for the Season 20 box set.
I don't think Peter, Sarah and Janet know when the Season 20 box set will be out since it's not in their control - it'd be BBC Studios in control of that. I imagine the trio will get around to recording 'Behind the Sofas' for Season 20. Whether Mark Strickson will be involved as well, I'm not sure, since he lives in New Zealand.
It makes sense for the Season 20 Blu-ray box set to be released for 2023 since, you know, 'The Five Doctors' 20th Anniversary Special is fitting for the 60th anniversary. But that's not a guarantee. This is speculation on my part, but I'd like to think that makes sense.

Does anyone know or believe that the Season 20 Collection set will actually include the Five Doctors?

I would be really, really surprised if it wasn't included in the box set.

Does anyone know or believe that the Season 20 Collection set will actually include the Five Doctors? Safe to assume. I doubt they'd call it a Season 21 story and I doubt even more that they'd leave it out of the collection (even K9 and Company was on Season 18!)

I guess they're saving Season 20 of 'Doctor Who' on Blu-ray for 2023 because 'The Five Doctors' is the 20th anniversary special and they want to save the 60th anniversary celebrations in the same way 'The Legacy Collection' DVD box set did with 'Shada' and 'More Than 30 Years In The TARDIS' for the show's 50th anniversary. Tim Even if it was initially delayed due to Mark Strickson's availability or other COVID concerns, that would be a good way to spin it! The 40th anniversary of Season 20!

I honestly wouldn’t mind if the set was released in December 2022. The Three Doctors was broadcast in 1972, one year before the anniversary.
