Rip DWM’s exclusive as per usual.
I’m actually really intrigued by this. An Unbound universe is an excuse to ditch continuity and do something bold and new. A universe where the Doctor has just erased the Daleks is a ripe starting point so I hope they will build on it.
Now all I need is something in the future for the Warner Doctor and I’m satisfied Unbound-wise.

Well, that is a surprise and a half. And an instant pre-order. And speaking of David Warner, we’ve not seen his name attached to anything in quite some time.

It was a pleasant surprise reading this in DWM today. I’m actually most excited about the Beevers Master, as he’s still unfortunately lacking his own set, even if he ends up playing a different incarnation for this. I think Colin will make a good Warrior Doctor, though, and the whole concept is ripe for exploration and bringing something new and high concept to the table.

Dorney seemingly confirmed on Twitter that Beevers will be playing a non-crispy version of his Master.

Hey, where are my royalties for calling the 'war doctor' Warrior first?

Regarding the character with the same face as the Warrior in Episode 3, do we think that's...
1) the Prime Sixth Doctor?
2) Maxil? 3) the Master, via some trickery? 4) another alternate Sixth Doctor? 5) someone else entirely?
Edit: Dorney said on Twitter that it's not Maxil!

Colin!!!!!!!!
EDIT: In all seriousness, having Colin play the War Doctor is a stroke of genius. Looking forward to it. Loved him as a villain in Gallifrey. I hope these War stories are allowed to cross some lines and have some real darkness meat to them. Of course instant pre-order. It is no secret I adore the man.

I do wonder how they’d differentiate this incarnation from saying the late David Colling’s FFF Doctor who I personally headcanoned absolutely did not hesitate when it came to wiping out the Daleks.

Well this is…intriguing
None-Crispy Master A new Romana And a Classic Doctor now unbound!
So if the Daleks are no more who are the factions in this Time War?
And if this is “explores an alternative timeline set in the immediate aftermath of Genesis of the Daleks” why is this the Sixth Doctor?
Now I have to be honest I was more excited by this before I read the scenarios of the last two episodes…the Sixth Doctor on Trial and then the Sixth Doctor is the President of the Timelords…dampen my enthusiasm.

I'm a little surprised to see the Unbound range back and very excited. The way the announcement is phrased makes it sound like we might get more as well? I can't wait for this set. "What if the Doctor killed the Daleks in Genesis?" is one of the biggest "What ifs?" for Doctor Who, and this looks like a really interesting way of exploring it.

Oh. That reminds me of another option for who the "other Colin" is in episode 3... we never saw the Lord Burner land. Or is that too much of a deep cut?

Just read about this a moment ago, so I'm still processing.
Part of my brain is going YESSSSSS UNBOUND RETURNS!!!!! Part of my brain is going 'we already get so much Time War stuff, do we really need to do an alternate version of it?' Part of my brain is going YESSSSSS MORE COLIN, MORE PERI, MORE BEEVERS, NEW ROMANA!!!!!
Leaning positive, but still processing...

I can only imagine that his Fifth incarnation’s existence was either thankfully brief or that he had a real tough time of it after the events of Genesis leading into his Sixth incarnation..

This is very exciting news.
Love Colin, love Beevers, love the Unbound range...
Yeah, this is going to be good. Six/Peri/Romana? Double good. Except, it's not really Six...
No idea how this is going to be tied together, but I'm really looking forward to it.
It also means that Colin is getting 4 boxsets this year + Mind of the Hodiac - that's 14 discs total. And Out of Time 3 and a disc in Peldon. Very exciting indeed.

No hesitation on my part - preordered the first set and I’m absolutely getting the second! One of my favorite ranges returns AND it’s starring my favorite Doctor (well, an alternate version of him anyways) AND there’s more Beevers and a new Romana too! Oh this was tailor-made for me! Hopefully we have even more on the way too!

You know, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if the Thals turned out to be the great threat in this AU Time War and are presented as far worse than the Daleks could ever hope to be.
