Full cast for the companion chronicles?!? Ummm hang on I thought narration was what made the companion chronicles the companion chronicles? Hm... Depends on what you count as full cast, I guess... Like, take Frostfire, for instance - the first Companion Chronicle - in that, Vicki is telling the story in-universe, not just narrating it to the "audience". The only real "abstraction" in that story is that, during her retelling, we hear sound effects, music and occasionally lines read by another actor. But in the present narrative, it's full cast - it's just a cast of two! But if you look at The Havoc of Empires from the first 3DA set, that's definitely a full-cast story but it has narration by Tim Treloar that has no connection to the world of the narrative. Somewhere in between those two examples, we have the Early Adventures and the Lost Stories. And! Since the Companion Chronicles have started, the Short Trips have become more like the original Companion Chronicles, with other actors, first-person monologues, et cetera! So the lines are blurred all over the place. All this to say... I don't think it's necessarily as cut and dried as "the narration is completely gone now." But we'll see! Whoops, thelonecenturion makes it clear what they're doing in the post below - I'm glad one of us is reading the news posts completely before speculating!

I was about to say that but you beat me to it! Also the BF regulars Support Actors listed on the Cover before the bigger name Guest Cast. Regards mark687 It's in alphabetical order. As to the full cast stuff: It says pretty clearly in the announcement article that: So they're still narrated, but they have a guest cast for other characters' dialogue.

Oh, also, as someone pointed out on Twitter: that's a Time War/post-War era Dalek...

I think they had a point . . .

A very fine overdue Adieu
Themes of knowing and bettering yourself as a consequence of events
Frazer is brilliant in both his stories and the Wendy is excellent as Zoe in "Tragedian"
You might want to leave "Prints" till last as a bit of light relief.

Listened to The Death of the Daleks this afternoon. Pretty decent story. Not sure it'll be a favourite of mine, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
One thing I was really thrown off by though was Frazer's impression of Troughton. In the past I've always loved what he's done with it, but this time around I was a bit taken aback by how different it was--he sounded remarkably like Peter Davison, rather than Pat Troughton. So that was a little distracting, at least for me.
Looking forward to the rest of the set, even though so far this doesn't really feel like a Companion Chronicles release.
