Given they already have a perfectly good (and official) first Doctor I think the impression would have to be pitch perfect for this recast to pass muster. To my ears, it isn’t. I have a sinking feeling that Bradley plus three companions were too expensive, and Noonan plus one is a cheaper option as I really don’t see any other justification for doing this.
And I say this as a first Doctor and Hartnell fan, who isn’t in principle opposed to recasting the original team.

No one else seems to have mentioned it so far, but how can the 1st dr meet the Hound monk in The Outlaws when the 2nd doesn't recognise him in EA 2.3 The Black Hole. Is there more amnesia on the way?

In The Black Hole has a psychic habit or something that stops the Doctor from recognising him. The moment he removes it the Doctor recognises him immediately.

Spoiler for The Black Hole The Monk wore a Perception Filter Ring with a Telepathic fake ID signal so that's why there's no recognition that time. Regards mark687

I noticed how they are very keen to stress in the news article that David Bradley is still working with Big Finish.

Looking forward to seeing the reviews of this. I have seen some online that seem to give it high praise but I am so on the fence about it that I need to hear more from people. I am hoping for good reviews as I would love some more 1st Doctor stuff.

I am hoping for good reviews as I would love some more 1st Doctor stuff. I’m holding out too. Without wanting to be too cynical, I’m suspicious that a lot the review quotes specifically call out how Noolan supposedly sounds just like Hartnell, especially given the critical fan reaction to the trailers. That being said I do hope he’s good and can succeed in the role but from the trailers he’s no match for Hartnell to me just yet.

It doesn’t surprise me that they’re emphasising Noonan in both the reviews and the quotes chosen by Big Finish. After all, that is the big appeal / risk of the set. However, you could provide an hour of white noise to these reviewers and they’ll declare it to be the best thing since sliced bread. Ultimately they’re freebies sent to fans, who understandably want to maintain that relationship with Big Finish!
DWM tend to be pretty good on the whole, though, certainly in recent times.

Listening to the Miniaturist first before the outlaws
Nolan’s first Doctor is decent but there are parts where his impression is inconsistent
Lauren’s dodo sounds nothing like dodo and could have easily have been an original character but well dodo was a forgettable character so eh it’s fine
Sound design was good, guest Cast is decent with Annette Badland being the standout of the story
I think it’s a 6 or 7 out of 10 for my scoring

Very good Guest Cast and Sound design on both. Lauren's take on Dodo continues to be an engaging highlight I think Stephen Noonan's a bit too lisps on the S sounding words, and he may've added a couple to many "Billy Fluffs" then were strictly needed, but for me its the most accurate approximation since William Russell. A good 1st effort 3/5 Regards mark687

Listened to the first story. It was good but something felt off about the first half. It seems very much like Myles wrote a farce that the actors and direction doesn’t let become a farce until the third part except for Rufus Hound. Noonan also starts kind of rocky but by the end he’s really getting into the role.

I gave the first 15 minutes or so a quick listen, I’m not expecting to listen to this for the better part of a month or so.
I definitely think Noonen has potential as the first , he’s not quite there yet, but I think that he’ll grow into the role.
