Don’t think I ever really commented here. Really loved both My Guest Tonight and Lola, both wonderfully dark character pieces with some great new guest cast additions.
But for me, Less Majesty was less than good. It doesn’t help that the whole story is a retread of Goss’ Tabula Rasa for the Vienna range, which was infinitely better. The farce doesn’t work at all for me, being unfunny and just overly reliant on the same joke for minutes at a time. The accents for the side characters are grating, and even our three leads begin to grate. A rare but heavy misfire for Torchwood and James Goss

Just listened to My Guest Tonight and John Culshaw provides a real tour de force performance. Very, very good take on a chat show host from bygone days! Admittedly one with a few issues, but hey, you can’t have everything…

Just finished these three. Another good set. I thought the three were quite effective.
I couldn't believe they went for a farce in Less Majesty. I completely forgot who The Unity was, but doing a quick search I only see them in "The Red List."
"My Guest Tonight" was really horrific. I was surprised by the conclusion of "Lola."
