So i was wondering what everyones thoughts were on the cardboard vs plastic debate. The torchwood archive (and Zagreus) was released as a cardboard sleeve (anyone know why) and i didn't mind it tbh. I imagine lots of us are stuggleing for space and even with the move to the jewel cases the plastic cds still take a lot of space. I imagine its also much better environmentally and would be cheaper to post for bf. Whats everyone's thoughts? (apoligoes if already been a thread on it can't find one)

I'll Vote 3rd option because basically I just went CDs to continue going as long as possible however I've never seen the need for the outer cardboard box in general. Should've just keep them solid single or multi-dual Disc cases.

I bought a new house with a shed out the back the size of another house to which I converted 1/2 to my Batcave, so I don't have space issues. normal plastic cds for me I would say. I haven't bought anything recently with the cardboard sleeves yet funnily enough.

I DESPISE having cardboard rubbing against my optical media. Cardboard sleeve holders are awful. Come across a clinging sleeve and you'll have to pinch the disc in order to pry it out. Potential fingerprints, abrasions and cardboard dust debris...there you go. The Digipak cases with the plastic trays are slightly better, but you'll not want to stack them on top of each other in large quantities. The cardboard spines will warp. CD Digipak piles have a Leaning Tower of Pisa look to them.
A BIG resounding vote from me to keep the plastic cases!
