It's a 5* for me, purely for part 3 alone!

I think diminishing returns describes this set the best. There's nothing bad in it, but it's all pretty much a redo of the first, except not as good. The worlds aren't as well crafted, the emotional punch of our leads and the environment they're interacting with doesn't land as well. The destruction of the alternate earths at the end of each episode began to wore thin at the end of the first set, yet this continues to do it again three times over. The Rogue Planet feels particularly notable for its repetition of not only The Last Party on Earth in volume one, but every so often stops to repeat chunks of dialogue from the Series 4 arc on screen. It feels like the reference to Donna in The Rogue Planet are a veiled attempt to make the range seem like it's progressing to its end game. It does feel like it should've been a one and done set, with an excellent premise ending on that trace of the Doctor.
Joe Kraemer is a real coup for Big Finish, but if they cannot get him for future sets, then I'd rather they get someone else in than just reusing the soundtrack. This is the third time it's happened now (The Paternoster Gang & Missy being the others) and it gets repetitive, with much of its use feeling inappropriate for what the dialogue is conveying.

I liked all 3 stories in this second volume. The plots are so different from each other. I’m happy we got this, and there’s volume 3 to look forward to. 😁
It’s great that Billie Piper & Camille Coduri & the rest of the cast take the time to record more of these. In the interviews, they sound like they’re enjoying themselves, & great chemistry as always.

Thought it was great but wish Pete was around (they mention he is off helping Torchwood in one)

You know, now that you mention it, I actually do rather like Attack of the Cybermen ...

I liked this well enough, missed Pete, but it probably meant a bigger role for Clive so I was happy enough.
Can't help feeling though that the cliffhanger ending will turn out to be a damp squib that simply leads to Rose ending up on yet another version of Earth, having arrived there by a slightly different means, and will be forgotten 3 minutes into episode 1 of the next boxset by which tiem it will be business as usual.
I read somewhere Hitchikers was originally conceived as a series of one-offs about the Earth ending in differnet ways. This series looks to have ended up as something very similar, but without the comedy.
