All three stories sound pretty interesting. Be curious to see what the fairy tale esque villain is like. Maybe it’ll be Doctor Who’s take on Baba Yaga?

Nice to see that not only Thirteen is getting NY-themed episodes! Sounds like a cracking set of stories, looking forward to them!

Well not exactly back to Earth, as Nine rarely leaves the place.
These stories do sound promising.

Seems like this title would've been a better fit had they kept the 9th Doctor away from Earth for the first four sets.
Anyway, I wonder what contemporary means in this context. The earth of 2022, or the earth of 2005? TBH I prefer it when they play things a bit wobbly with the timeline, so I'm hoping for, like, 1994 or 2050. I mean, from a Time Lord perspective that's all more or less the same moment.

You know, with a title like that it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Volume Six took place entirely in space. If only to act as a balance.

It's wonderful having Christopher Ecclestone back and his performances are always top notch but I don't really enjoy stand alone 1 hour stories. I would love a running arc over the sets, something like the bad wolf arc from series one, I like the idea of 4 sets over the year being like a full series with some two parters and a loose theme connecting the years sets.
I think the change to two hours stories has been brilliant for the Fourth Doctor and I'd love to see the Eighth Doctor have more two hour stories, Day of the Master, Better Watch Out and the Eighth piece being really good examples of the wonderful extra depth more time allows.
I really admire everything Big Finish does, my personal taste is for longer story arcs, although there have been some great one parters I've enjoyed such as Planet of the End and Monsters in Montropolis. Personally I'm always more ready to invest in longer stories and take convincing to give one part stories a try. As I say that's just my taste, I'd never want to upset the wonderful people at Big Finish who provide such amazing and creative stories, I'm never more entertain than listing to my beloved Doctor Who plays. Money is extra tight for me this year and unfortunately I'm going to have to be more picky when choosing which plays to purchase, with it looking like this next 9th Doctor set being 1 parters I'm going to favour purchasing Stranded part 4 and the new unbound sets.
Does anyone else favour the idea of longer story arcs for the 9th Doctor or have any preferences when choosing which sets to they can afford (if I were better off, I'd buy everything Big Finish releases).

2.1 Station to Station by Robert Valentine A deserted railway platform can be the loneliest place on Earth. But when Saffron is stranded at Underbridge station, she meets echoes of the past –and a fellow lost traveller. And the Doctor knows that something is hunting them...
2.2 The False Dimitry by Sarah Grochala Moscow, 1605: the old Tsar is dead –but some blame unnatural forces. Perhaps the mysterious Doctor in the palace can help? A successor advances on the Kremlin with an army, preparing the country for war. But Tsarevich Dimitry is not what he seems...
2.3 Auld Lang Syne by Tim Foley Every December, Mandy Litherland gathers the family at Foulds House to see in the New Year. Not everyone appreciates her efforts. At least the caretaker seems friendly -if a little weird. Mandy hopes she’ll see him again next year –but perhaps she already has...

Oh Ian Bartholomew ideal prime casting candidate for an antagonist role Regards mark687 Would be a bit...obvious after his Corrie role, no? People despised that characters actions. I would dare say he would be keen to not be too typecast.

Have to give kudos to Big Finish for their extremely well done covers for the Ninth Doctor Adventures considering the limited photos of Christopher Eccleston they have at their disposal.

Yes, he’s been very vocal about how negatively people have perceived him during and since his Corrie stint, and has even gone on to do a charity song for women suffering domestic abuse. I think he’d be looking to play a character with a more positive outlook and actions!

His character may come across as a nasty piece of work but then he’ll turn out to have a heart of gold and help the Doctor defeat the big bad.
