Just reminds me I really need to give the Dorian Gray range a look. I think what works best is listening to the stories as they were released and not listening to them in "year order". They go back and forth, makes the emotional experience hit harder.
I have been a huge fanboy of this series they are amazing to me, every story has "something" in them that hits you in the feels.

I always find it interesting how when it comes to Big Finish Dorian appears to have achieved a form of immortality outside of his range. I’ve seen him crop up in such properties as Dark Shadows and Bernice Summerfield. Even think his existence had been hinted at in other releases!

Surely a pleasant surprise, two Dorian gray stories!
I was surprised to see it’s an anniversary between Dorian and Toby though, I always felt that heart that lives alone wasn’t over a time period that long.

Yeah that caught me a little off guard as well. Are we to take it that their relationship lasted a few years then?

Even think his existence had been hinted at in other releases! I know there's the "friend of Jack" played by Vlahos alluded to in the first Lives of Captain Jack set, and there's the very Dorianish Berty played by Vlahos over in the first Diary of River Song set... Oscar Wilde himself was in a story in Jago & Litefoot... Dorian has of course crossed over with Sherlock Holmes a few times, but those happened within the context of Confessions. And of course there was the Worlds of Big Finish set that also had Vienna, Iris, and the Graceless Twins in, but wasn't exactly a "crossover" (outside of, again, Dorian and Holmes interacting). anything else?

Preordered! Loving Vlahos in both Outlander and Sanditon (2 VERY different characters) and leaving in 3 weeks for Versailles again and will see him in person. Amazing how all of that began with Dorian for me! The vinyl is a great 10 yr tribute!

I’m in the same camp as you on this. Release order heightens the continuing through-story, and you don’t have accidental knowledge of things that are better left for later.

The main one that springs to mind to me is Dorian makes a short cameo appearance as a friend (or at least associate) of fellow immortal Quentin Collins in one of the Dark Shadows releases. Which is a bit surreal when you consider the backstory of that particular character.

The Lowell Foundation from Dorian Series 3 originated in the Dark Shadows Dramatic Readings and were largely involved with Quentin over the generations, for instance. Dorian's first appearance in Bernice Summerfield also had him running into the Crimson Pearl haha.

I was surprised when Scott Handcock and co washed their hands of it in spirits of Christmas.
