David Richardson clearly really likes Daleks.
Still, looking forward to this - a really cool premise, finally a Bill story at Big Finish, and one of BF's strongest writers. Dan Starkey's a great narrator as well.

Hmm…Jonathan Morris is my favourite Big Finish writer, Bill is one of my favourite companions from across all of Doctor Who and Dan Starkey is a great narrator but two SEVEN HOUR Dalek stories in a row from the same range is remarkably unimaginative.

So far the 3 novels have been 2 Dalek stories and 1 Cyberman story. Anyone else think BF are playing it safe?

It’s still early days for the range so I think it’ll be a while before we get the more, out there experimental stories.

Funnily enough I was thinking the other day about this Audio Novels range and how it's a good opportunity for TARDIS teams that we may not get much, if anything, from and my mind went to the Doctor & Nardole. It doesn't look like Nardole is in this, alas, but I do love the Doctor & Bill together and Dan Starkey is a lovely reader.
I don't actually mind another outing for the Daleks, to be honest. They were superfluous to requirements in Watchers, so I don't really feel as though it was a "Dalek story" and I also feel like Twelve hasn't had a "proper" Dalek story, let alone Bill. They have, of course, but due to the nature of the Dalek stories in that era, it did feel as though any encounter with them was quite fleeting.
Looking forward to it. And I hope there's an Audio Novels outing for Ten and/or Eleven on the cards in the future. They both have Big Finish representation, but equally have TARDIS teams that we haven't had a lot from yet, due to lack of cast availability. Would love a seven hour War Doctor epic too.

A Time War War Doctor story told from the journal entries of a Time Lord fighting in the conflict would truly be something to behold I think. Really play into the idea of how this incarnation of the Doctor is perceived by different factions.

It’s still early days for the range so I think it’ll be a while before we get the more, out there experimental stories. I'd argue we have just had one of those with Watchers. I wouldn't say Big Finish are playing it safe as such with these, but are leaning on marketing in a way they may not have to if these were printed, or even full cast. The Audio Novels range is a lovely idea, but you're instantly fighting a losing battle, due to them being download only, costly and only featuring one primary reader.

I'm really glad that this range isn't just limited to classic Doctors as it gives more scope for TARDIS teams that we don't currently have at BF like this one! I'm really glad we're getting another Twelve/Bill story but... Daleks again? It seems a bit like they're using Daleks as a crutch. Now that we've got regular Time War releases, I'd wish they'd keep the Daleks in that range whilst having the occasional Dalek story outside of it when they come up with an interesting plot for them as opposed to including Daleks because... Daleks.

I'm not too keen on this being yet another Dalek story but the fact that it's a Twelve/Bill story is enough to make me give it a chance. One of my favourite TARDIS teams.

The things that interest me the most about this:
1. It's Twelve and Bill! The Twelfth Doctor and an actual TV companion at Big Finish!
2. This...
...which combined with the image of two young Bills implies that the "twenty years later" Bill is the post-Cyberman pilot-puddle version of Bill, not a forty-year-old version who will be erased from time.
3. Dan Starkey is a great audiobook reader!

I wonder if puddle Bill, with her perspective of monsters being victims as much as victimisers might be about to make a mistake and think the same is true of the Daleks and be manipulated by them into another bonkers scheme.

Very much looking forward to this, though the one things is that I hope at least one of the other three features one of the many female writers who have prose backgrounds. Something like Una McCormack writing a 1st Doctor and Dodo, AK Benedict writing a 9th Doctor and Rose, Jacqueline Rayner for Six, Mel and Hebe or Six and Evelyn?
Also, if we are using established villains, I hope there is something a bit more out there than the frequent baddies. We could have Ice Warriors, The Monk, or Robots from Kaldor, or Big Finish originals like The Numbered, The Ravenous etc.

There’s a lot of potential in showing the War Doctor from the perspectives of others and hasn’t been done by Big Finish yet; I think it’s really where you’ll get the meat of what this incarnation was like in a way you won’t when hearing directly from him, as he’ll naturally question himself.

Huh, totally missed this news. Really excited for this one--Dan Starkey narrating a 12/Bill audio books is basically the next-best thing to a full-cast audio drama with Capaldi IMO.
