I took a hiatus from Torchwood for a while but am looking to catch up. I'm most interested in the "new" stuff, either set during or after Series 5 & 6 or just generally after Miracle Day. Have there been any releases set in the post-show time period since, oh, Goodbye Piccadilly? ...Good lord my hiatus was longer than I realized.

Haha yes I used to participate in that thread 😅 Next question: where does Stranded factor in to all this?

First two definitely. Curios probably not but given the time travelling habits of Bilis, not impossible.

Deadbeat Escape is set post-show. Dead Man's Switch is set post-show and leads into an episode of Aliens Among Us. Curios is set in WWII, but from Bilis's perspective can be set anywhere really.

I think the two Soho releases are post series 6 and probably post Stranded for Andy. Although obviously for Torchwood they're set much earlier.

I've tried to put all of Torchwood into a rough timeline order, and here's what I've got post- Miracle DaySoon after the MiracleCadoc PointRebuilding TorchwoodForgotten LivesMore Than ThisGhost MissionMade You LookVisiting HoursWe Always Get Out AliveGoodbye PiccadillyDeadbeat EscapeNight of the FendahlSmashedSonnySeries 5: Aliens Among UsThe monthly range story Dead Man's Switch takes place before the Aliens Among Us 2 episode A Kill to a ViewSeries 6: God Among UsThe monthly range story The Green Life takes place in between God Among Us 2 and God Among Us 3After God Among UsSargassoRed BaseTorchwood Soho: ParasiteThe Five People You Kill in MiddlesbroughTorchwood Soho: AshendenThe Red ListThe Far FutureEmpire of Shadows The Torchwood Archive
Goodbye Piccadilly, Parasite, and Ashenden all take place in the 1950s, but I've included them in the timeline here from the perspective of Andy as 'current' Torchwood. I realise this is almost identical to tyler steele's post, but I've added a bit of clarity about the Soho releases, been a bit more specific with the mid-Series 5 and 6 stories, and changed the position of Sargasso to after Series 6.

Personally I’d put Smashed much earlier in the rebuilding process, as Gwen is not on a Torchwood mission but working to raise money to the restarted Torchwood (she just happens to bump into alien stuff cos she has all the bad luck). The Green Life can’t really go between God Among Us 2 and 3 due to certain cataclysmic events that are ongoing at that time. I’d say either between Aliens Among Us 1 and 2 or sometime during God Among Us 2, as those are the gaps where Jack is affiliated with a 2010s Torchwood team and has no other complications.

According to the TARDIS wiki, although I can't remember the quote myself, Bilis says "my games with Torchwood extend through history and are like a game of cat and mouse". Which leads me to believe that Curios is post-show, seeing as Captain Jack Harkness is the first time Jack has met him, and Jack has been with Torchwood Three almost since its founding.
As for The Five People You Kill in Middlesbrough, is there anything to suggest that it couldn't be set in the gap between Hostile Environment and Another Man's Shoes?

Trouble is Five People is such a big event, I kinda find it hard to buy that no-one from the team would mention it subsequently. Also in Another Man Norton indicates he’s only been around for a few weeks, so I don’t think anything particularly world-changing has happened during that brief time.

I guess it'll sit along with the rest of the flotsam and jetsam post-GAU that'll hopefully have a bit more context if we ever get a series 7.
