So, that trailer. Nakedly playing to nostalgia: absolutely. Do I mind? Not in the slightest.

Hello! I have mixed feelings about the trailer for the last Thirteenth Doctor adventure. Feelings of excitement and feelings of "I'm getting a feeling my theory in 'Into the Death-Space' is coming true." So, for now, I'll sum them up with "ACE!!!" followed by "Oh rabbits!" Tim

I'd heard the rumblings about Ace but Tegan was a surprise and a half. I'm very curious about how Ashad is back and his role in things. I do worry it might be a bit overstuffed but fingers crossed that Chibbs pulls it off.

So that's "The Gathering" gone. "Dark Universe" too. Can't forget "At Childhood's End" as well.
I look forward to Nick whipping out the memory wipe solution in future audios.

I believe this is now the... *checks notes* ...FOURTH time in three years that Ace has met the Doctor for the first time since leaving them:
1. The Season 26 Blu-ray trailer 2. Dark Universe 3. At Childhood's End
And for Tegan there's The Gathering.

It goes by very quickly but if you slow the trailer right down at 23 seconds you'll see something worth waiting 34 years for.

At Childhood's End And for Tegan there's The Gathering. Dark Universe can easily be reconciled though. Ace can not inform The Doctor that she has met a future incarnation. It's like how a Star Wars comic dealt with Yoda's lightsaber appearing on The Book of Boba Fett. A character said "one of Yoda's lightsabers".

Also Death of the Doctor and Farewell, Sarah Jane already ignored it.

We’ve come a long way since them holding back Daleks in Resolution, haven’t we?
Hell of a lot to wrap up in the final episode, especially with adding Tegan, Ace, Daleks, Cybermen, etc. to the mix and doing them all justice. Still, I’m hopeful that “feature length” will give them the time needed and we get a deserving ending for Jodie, Chibnall and the team.

I just hope it actually means Feature Length, since that's what they called the 60 minute long 'Eve Of The Daleks'.
Incidentally, Janet has said on Twitter that their appearances are definitely not the only surprises in the episode.

It's a bit sad to think that a few years ago were given this brave new era; a season without any returning elements, and a show that for the first time since feck knows when would be treading new waters... then the Daleks turned up... then the Master turned up... then the Cybermen turned up... then the Sontarans turned up... then Kate Lethbridge-Stewart turned up... then the Sea Devils turned up, and this brave new era is going to give us... the same old crap to wrap it up. And fans wonder why the ratings are falling...
