uncharacteristically-violent Tegan After everything in her life, I wouldn't be surprised if she just finally went 'sod it!'
But in all seriousness, I imagine the gun's for self defence rather than going on the attack, at least from the way the clip looks.

Unless Stranded was foreshadowing the TV show's use, not sure how they'd have Colin for one pretty obvious reason unless he's the Curator. Plus, not sure if Tom would realistically be up to the travel and filming nowadays - acting behind a mic at home is one thing, but a major special? If they are then maybe it is just audio? But as the source is reddit I do not think it true. To be fair, there is one user on there who leaked info about Flux and the two specials months before they were confirmed officially so if it’s the same used I’m inclined to believe it’s true. They also claimed Ace was back for the centenary special so… their track record is definitely solid.

Well, if she's willing to say it straight to the storm's eye of Twitter, she seems pretty sure about it.

uncharacteristically-violent Tegan are replacements. Dude, she’s a Queenslander. We’re one dodgy sausage roll away from the level of anarchy that would make Mad Max look like Mary Poppins.

That’s brilliant and what I was hoping for. Fills me with confidence that everything can be done justice and the different story strands coming together with good time.

Anyone confirm this? How would RTD know?

Anyone confirm this? How would RTD know? Well according to Janet, RTD knew that Tegan was coming back so it’s not outside the realms of possibility that he also knows how long it’s going to be. I’m hoping it means that RTD may have had some input into the episode.

I’m hoping it means that RTD may have had some input into the episode. I'd go the other way on that honestly. No indictment of RTD, I'd just rather that each showrunner has sole creative authority over their own era, with no input or interference from other eras' showrunners.

I mean, I'm sure they're talking to each other. And while Chibnall may not know (or care) what RTD plans to do, it's pretty necessary for RTD to know what Chibnall is doing.

RTD could unironically like that the centenary has many classic era callbacks, because then he would not feel obligated to do so for his own following celebrations. I know some fans who are still angry at Day of the Doctors because it did not have enough of them. On a side note, having Peri does not really surprise me: I expect most of the classic doctors to cameo one way or another with one of their companion (Tegan for Five and Ace for Seven), so it would be either Peri or Mel. What I wonder is if she is on Earth or not in this story? (I'm confident that Chibnall did not keep up with Big Finish and its Piscon Paradox revelations or post-Yrcanos audios) The caveat of this theory is who Chibnall could use for Eight as Disney are not likely to play ball with the TVMovie rights. Ohila, maybe?
