Well that’s preordered then! In the absence of new Dark Shadows for now, I’m thrilled that my other favorite ranges, Survivors and The Confessions of Dorian Gray are both putting out new stories! Posting this from Paris, where I attended the Versailles con and saw Alexander Vlahos in all his frenetic and hyper energetic glory. To experience Vlahos in person is definitely not to be missed. You wouldn’t soon forget it!

You know, now that you mention it, I actually do rather like Attack of the Cybermen ...

Have started this one and have reached chapter 2 Good so far, and will post my thoughts when I have finished it.
Timeline placment seems to be after the season 1 episode The Future Hour
What is interesting is that non-Nation created characters - Arthur, Paul, Emma John Lizzie, are all named and appear in the story. This has not been the case previously and I had assumed this was to do with rights issues - we know that in Blakes 7, BF only had the rights to Nation-created characters until they licensed additional characters and concepts from Chris Boucher for The Worlds of B7 range. Either my previous assumption was mistaken (very possible, I am no expert in these matters) and there was some other reason why the non-Nation characters had not appeared before or else BF have recently licensed additinal characters (from the estat of Jack Ronder?). Either way, I would be interested to know. And if non-Nation characters are available to BF, then please please please BF, get Dennis Lill back asap!

I gave this a 5/5 - a really good novel. Doris V Sutherland is a fairly low profile BF writer but this, and her Omega Factor audiobook, show her to be one of the best. A tense thriller witha few unexpected twists that also makes you think. Nice to see all the season 1 characters gettign somethign to do.
