Amazing that this has happened so soon, especially with the commitment to other Thirteenth Doctor era sets too, and we know a Jericho set is round the corner based on Kevin McNally’s recent comments.
I’m on board for both of these. I hope they forge a new era for the Fugitive Doctor and don’t get bogged down in the returning elements of other Doctor sets. And I hope they give the Dhawan Master’s range a key identity like they have with the War Master and Missy.
Guessing the TBA date means they’re not going to be out any earlier than the centenary and the new pricing structure is interesting. I wonder if that’s a sign of further increases or is due to a different licence negotiation.

A not unexpected but very welcome announcements. But I will wait until story details before ordering. Not sure i trust them to do anything unfamiliar with these characters (daleks anyone?) and it is interesting that the quote says "There’s a whole era to explore in these stories that follow on from Fugitive of the Judoon," So it is set after she has escaped from Division. That could be interesting if she is on the run moving from place to place with some Division agents or Judoon after her but I would have liked to see what see was like as a Division agent that is completely new territory for the show

Fugitive Doctor? Count me in. I had been waiting for this since Jo Martin posted the mock BF cover on social media. Not so sure however about yet another Master series.

Big Finish could do wonders with Sacha Dhawan's Master. He's got so much potential.

Very excited for these, perhaps a touch more excited for the Master sets, but I’ll be getting all four releases.
Now, as for releases, if I had to guess, they’ll release the fugitive in November in the wake of the centenary with master to follow in December, with both vol 2’s to follow next year.
One can hope!

I guess this was an inevitability. Personally, I’m just surprised it’s been announced so early. Thought they’d save it for when the final episode for the Thirteenth Doctor is out.

I think that's a bit optimistic given there's no release dates currently listed - I think we won't be hearing these until some time after the centenary special has gone out.

I’m so pleasantly surprised that we’re already getting announcements for these before Jodie’s tenure is even up. These are both an instant preorder for me. I had a feeling Sacha would be quick to reprise the role for BF but I love that we’ve got Jo Martin so soon too. I just hope they don’t try and shoehorn in too many returns for the Fugitive Adventures.

I’m so pleasantly surprised that we’re already getting announcements for these before Jodie’s tenure is even up. Maybe as far as the BBC is concerned, Jodie's era is over? With just one episode left, that's in the can, the BBC are surely already concentrating on the next era of the show... RTD, Bad Wolf and the 14th Doctor (etc.).
With no release dates announced yet, I would expect these sets to be released after the 13th Doctor has regenerated on screen though.

It’ll be interesting to know if Big Finish are privy to the events of the centenary episode and have planned these two ranges accordingly. I know Nick Briggs will be aware to some extent - as he’ll be voicing the Daleks and Cybermen at least - but that doesn’t necessarily mean he has the full script or would entail him to have permission to fast track stories if he did.
I suppose what I’m getting at is with the Fugitive Doctor specifically. What are we working towards in these sets? Do Big Finish have an ending in mind they’ve agreed with the BBC or do we get that in the centenary and the range will work towards that? It just feels like a range that shouldn’t have too much free reign to me as without any milestones it would ultimately feel aimless.

After my experience with Ravagers, I have zero confidence to pre-order these. I'll be fine with the cinematic video trailers and first round of reviews before spending any money. Hopefully they don't make this about bringing in the Brigadier or the Daleks or whatever and let the characters stand on their own.

But given past form with River Song and the 1DAs I don’t think it’s beyond the realm of possibility. Both of those were out by the time their respective episodes ended.

I reckon there's a chance that BF negotiated the rights to Thirteen's era before the BBC Centenary Special was commissioned, which is why they've announced this less than a week after Legend of the Sea Devils - the story which was planned to be Jodie's and Chibnall's last, and therefore the final story before BF acquired rights to the era.
As to making these standalone, I'm not sure... David Richardson is producing the Fugitive Doctor Adventures, and he has more than a little fondness for Daleks...
Edit: Also, price-wise, I guess new series stuff is more expensive? The Ninth and Tenth Doctor sets were £24.99 for three discs versus the £19.99 for classic series and spin-off 3-disc releases.
