I am still of the belief that we won't get stories with Fugitive Doctor set when she was with Division (surely that range would be called The Division Doctor) but after her experiences in Fugitive of the Judoon. That's my preferred option and the News piece indicates it . "What a privilege to be producing the Fugitive Doctor Adventures. There’s a whole era to explore in these stories that follow on from Fugitive of the Judoon," Regards mark687

I think the most interesting thing to do for the Master would be a lead-up to his destruction of Gallifrey. Tell us how he discovered the Timeless Child and how he destroyed his home planet. With Heather Challands producing both Call Me Master and Gallifrey: War Room, it's something I can see happening. I 100 percent agree, the most frustrating thing for me about the timeless child reveal was how no detail was given on how the Master destroyed Gallifrey, did he kill all the Timelords? How did he do it? Why has the Doctor moved on so quickly when the timewar devasted the previous Doctors? I don't mind the idea of the timeless child storyline but the writing from Chibnell was flawed and extremely lazy, hopefully Big Finish can add depth and as usual take a flawed production and turn it in to something worthy of the talented performers involved, as they have proved with the 6th and 8th Doctors and countless more characters. Maybe even the Doctor is weary/cynical at the same old tropes and knows that somewhere down the line there will be another red button that will allow him/her to restore Gallifrey again. But, yes, seriously that would be a story definitely worth filling out as even the (pointlessly) restored Gallifrey wasn't explored very much either.

Well, things just got way more interesting.

I'm really excited about these although I have some hesitation because I think Big Finish likes to play New Who close to the cuff and neither of the characters got the chance to be that well developed on screen, I don't think. I definitely want to get them and give them a chance, though - and congratulations Big Finish on the awesome scores!

Ohh yes, loads of those YouTube videos (you know the ones, faintly insulting photos with over-exaggerated eyes) and quite a few fans on forums all crowing that RTD will undo everything Chibbers did short of removing the thirteenth Doctor.

While I’m really happy to see it and will definitely be preordering when we get an actual release date (I don’t want another Jekyll and Hyde situation) it’s kind of a shame that it has to be Big Finish giving Martin and Dhawan real chances to shine. They’re both actors who have such presence on screen and I really want to see them more. It’s been such a problem with this era (and to a lesser extent Moffat’s era) of just introducing concepts and characters and then doing nothing with them outside of an introduction.

You could say the same of the Valeyard. Idk, just as the War Doctor, I think the Fugitive Doctor served her purpose in the story(s) she appeared in. We could just as well ask why we haven't seen more of Gallacchio's Doctor. It just wasn't her story. She played a part in Thirteen's. Another example, venturing out of Doctor territory, would be Jenny. She played her part in The Doctor's Daughter, and, while it would have been nice to see her again, I don't feel like she was shortchanged. And I don't think Sacha has "not shined" in all his appearances on the show, tbh. Again, compare him to John Simm. Would you say he wasn't given a chance to shine? In fact, I feel like I know his motivations and goals better than Simm's.

The Chibnell era has all the right ingredients for better writers to tell great stories through Big Finish, The Master and Fugitive Doctor are two of the better elements from recent years that certainly deserve better more in depth story telling. "The Chibn eall era has all the right ingredients for better other writers to tell great stories through Big Finish, The Master and Fugitive Doctor are two of the better elements from recent years that certainly deserve better more in depth story telling more to my liking." There, fify.

This is a Doctor unlike any that we've seen before, because she has no memories or experiences of anything that 1-13 have had. She doesn't know about the Daleks, she has a much more relaxed approach to weapons, and she's on the run. While she served her purpose on screen, it wasn't exactly a difficult purpose to serve. Through this new BF series, we'll be able to explore what this Doctor is actually like, how she's different from 1-13, and the various different adventures she'll have freed entirely from tv show continuity.

Oh, no, absolutely. I think her life and times will be very interesting to explore. I just meant that I don't think she was necessarily underserved on TV. Her introduction opened up storytelling possibilities that weren't meant to be answered on TV. She was just the avatar of a bigger mystery.

One or the other of these announcements would have me hyped, but announcing both like this? I was unprepared! Great news, though, I like both of these performers in their roles quite a lot and I'm excited to see what Big Finish does with them.

I think i am all Mastered out, after buying the master boxsets +all the Jacobi stuff.Who knows? i may change my mind, but BF lately has been full of hype, and in some case's the outcome has been underwhelming! Fugitive Doctor? will reserve my judgement until we get more details.Sneaky price rise as well! £18.99 for 3 downloads? So i will wait and see.
