Surprised to see this announced so early, but I love Ben & Polly and to get such a lengthy story with them is a real treat. Enjoying the variety of teams in this range so far, curious about the last two!

Kate Orman!! I know!!! I didn’t think I could get this excited! A six hour Kate Orman story about my favourite Doctor. And in the period before the Highlanders… I can’t wait!

Why do they say just £17.99? That is expensive for audiobook.

Why do they say just £17.99? That is expensive for audiobook. £17.99 for six hours (especially when you consider it's specially commissioned, not an existing text) seems pretty reasonable to me.

I’ve been kinda sleeping on this range but kinda intrigued. Relatively unexplored time period, no returning monsters and Orman’s reputation does precede her…very tempting.

This is the announcement that this range has needed. No returning elements other than the Doctor and companions, and what a cover! Honestly, after yesterday's controversy around Beyond War Games, it's nice to see that Gironi's cover style can work really well. Looking forward to this.

Yeah, the cover is gorgeous and everything looks hand painted. I like the style anyway, but it’s exactly what I’d envision this art style to be like and I hope it’s more positively received.

£17.99 for six hours (especially when you consider it's specially commissioned, not an existing text) seems pretty reasonable to me. Not compared to normal pricepoint for audiobooks Written specially for audio, no pre-existing book. With music. With sound effects. Not with something like Amazon behind it. Also, when comparing to the price of other BF audios this is a STEAL. Six hours of goodness for ONLY 18 bucks? 3 hours is usually 17 bucks. What part of this is unreasonable?

This looks marvellous. The lack of returning elements is really what sells this one for me. Unless of course it turns out the Daleks are secretly in this.
Mind you, I don’t think I’d mind if that were the case.

Why do they say just £17.99? That is expensive for audiobook. Some audiobooks go into the £40 or £50 price range and that's just for a standard reading. The DW Target audiobooks are similarly priced for about two thirds of the running time, sometimes less. But at the same time, like everything, it isn't easy to find if trying to fund other things too. I'm looking forward to it myself, although I'm hoping we don't get a 'twist' further down the line telling us the Monk/Master/Daleks, etc are going to be in it!

You didn't actually state a reason i did it is too expensive for an audio book No. It literally isn't. It's not too expensive for audio books made without a massive backer, it's no too expensive for BF audios, and it certainly isn't too expensive for audio books with built in music and sound effects. These are literally the only kinds of audio books I can stand to listen to, they are leagues better than normal ones, and they certainly have earned their price point. For what reason should it be a lower price? Seriously, how are you justifying this statement? I'm curious at this point.

I understand you can disagree but unsure why you curious The BBC Audio versions of the Target novels are also £17.99 and some of those don't even break 4 hours. Also, they don't even need to pay for the manuscript commission, as the books had been published ages ago. The Audio Novels are not overpriced.
