Minder was what I first saw him in, but the other two main roles on here were great for him as well.

Carter and Standing also check out Horror Films Scars of Dracula and Fright! where he stars along with Patrick Troughton and George Cole respectively.

Regards mark687 Dennis was woefully miscast in Scars Of Dracula. Upper class youth was not his forte. Pat is wonderful in it and personally even outshines Lee. I dont mean to be too predictable but Dennis was mostly best when he essentially played aspects of himself but writ large. The Sweeney, Minder, New Tricks, Up The Junction, Stay Lucky, The Knock... The best performance I ever seen him deliver was in Dennis Potters "Joes Ark", where he is a kinda third rate old school music hall act and he has to return home to his father, (the wonderful Freddie Jones - NOT miscast by hammer in the brilliant Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed!) who he does not have any relationship with. They are forced to reunite when Dennis sister, Freddie's daughter, reveals she has terminal cancer. Its a terrific Play For Today and all about the fairness of any God who would let a wonderful lady barely into her life, be taken away and how Dennis and Freddie find their faith, or lack of, tested. Its fantastic.

I must admit I’m very fond of him as Gerry Standing in New Tricks.
