I’m usually quite forgiving of certain aspects of BBV but this is... well, it’s really something else isn’t it?

Wouldn’t touch BBV with a ten foot barge pole tbh. Bad business practice all round. Not paying people, hiring known predators and lying about having the licence to produce things. I’d implore people not to support BBV at all.

I’d implore people not to support BBV at all. I see lots of complaining, and yet lots of energy being spent doing so. Don't want to support, don't, no one is holding a gun to your head telling you to. That said, who are you to tell people how to spend their time? As someone who works with BBV, I find it interesting when people like you make statements about things. I don't know you, so I don't know what kind of personal investment you may or may not have, but keyword is personal. Just because you have an opinion, so does everyone else. Unless you're deep in "the know", you don't have actual information regarding things. I'm not looking for drama (today), just giving my 2 cents for what it's worth.

This is a big oof. APPARENTLY the only reason that the Haisman Estate noticed they were operating without license is because of BES.

Is Bill Baggs literally the only performer they have on the books? In fact, I’m not really sure if that even counts considering he’s in charge and all.

No no, there is a different voice actor for Lucifer. Generally speaking, the default is Baggs if it isn't the writer of the story. "Sabbath and the King" and it's prequel had both a voice actor and a voice actress (a rather talented one by my estimation). That being said, I would encourage you not to seek out that story, as the writer and all of the actors involved have said not to buy it.

Happy Monday!
(I suspect, though, that BBV will argue that they created the John Peel audio when they had the licence and ought to be allowed to sell it; that'll be down to the precise wording of the contract - could go either way. What I still can't see, though, is whether their version of Romana is such a bankable property that it was necessary to invent their own K9. Will we see the Dominie and Alice return at this rate?)

That's exactly what they're doing with Faction Paradox, despite the fact that we know that the production of those audios seemingly began after the email was sent. Baggs benefits off of a lack of properly articulated contracts (instead using emails that essentially say, "Yeah sure you can use this for that.") and the fact that nobody wants to spend the money to hire attorneys. Nothing more than that.

Have to admire the sheer gall of the man though. Talk about finding refuge in audacity.

Not sure if anyone here has actually even listened to this, but I find those posts interesting being that Lethbridge-Stewart isn't even featured or mentioned in that audio 🤔 ... People are mad at a rank... Weird

Weird So despite being part of the same “Brigadier” range that explicitly centred on Lethbridge-Stewart (going by literally the previous story’s synopsis on the website, not listened to them and never plan to), this story now only features someone with the same rank? How very legally convenient. Tbh I just don’t get why anyone would buy anything BBV produces these days. Is nostalgia for the darkest days of the wilderness years actually a thing?

People are mad at a cybernetic animal... Weird."

As if anyone would be remotely interested in listening to the adventures of a separate Brigadier who isn’t Lethbridge-Stewart. I know you probably work with them so you have a certain degree of loyalty to them (quite understandable in some respects) but don’t act like BBV are beyond reproach.

Joining the ranks of the story where Bill Baggs's character wants to seduce the notorious renegade Homeworlder known only as the Nari (she hates me, she even hates children) with an illustration of Kate O'Mara's silhouette on the cover, we have BRIGADIER 6: Translation. While BRIGADIER 1-5 all starred Brigadier Lethridge-Stewart, this story is very obviously about a DIFFERENT Brigadier. The Earth Defense Forces TOTALLY aren't UNIT, why would you even ask?
Personally, I can't wait to meet Brigadier Stehbridge-Lewart.

I was originally gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were a massive Who/Faction Paradox fan and aspiring writer that was completely unaware of BBV's baggage (Heh.) and just excitedly wanted to write some Faction audios (ala Aristide Twain). But you're clearly just as shady as Baggs is. I no longer feel sorry for you or your situation and vehemently hope that whoever own the audio rights to Faction Paradox these days sues you and your spin-off to hell (Heh.). Weird, huh?

Okay I should note, in fairness to Aristide Twain, that he wrote his story while BBV legitimately had the license to Faction Paradox AND was one of the people that warned Baggs of Underwood/Coburn AND was one of the first to sever ties and publicly denounce Baggs after he moved forward with it. (Do note, however, that I'm biased in that Twain is a friend of mine.)

As a consumer, if I hear that companies are engaging in unethical practices, such as the countless ones floating around about BBV. I'd certainly want people to know that and would speak about it as well.
