Hebe could definitely be a great companion. And she certainly feels like a good fit for an RTD show. But I thought there were licensing problems with Big Finish characters appearin on screen? I believe the issue is with anything that depends on a knowledge of commercial material. So, as long as you don't have to have any prior knowledge of who Hebe or Beep the Meep are (and let's not forget, there has already been two comics characters plus a list of BF audio companions in the series) it would presumably be OK. I'd suggest, though, that if Hebe does appear on tv, I suspect it will transpire that she was created by RTD then licensed back to BF to use before her on-screen appearance, rather than being genuinely originated by BF. On the other hand, anyone remember years ago when Sheridan Smith was tipped to be the companion, based on her having been popular on audio? I'd take this all with a big pinch of salt. Arguably, introducing Hebe is no different (from a storytelling perspective) to introducing Sarah-Jane, Ace, Tegan or Swarm. Three of them never met the Doctor as far as the casual viewer is concerned but have elaborate histories with them for those who want to explore further, and the last no one knew about the elaborate history eith the Doctor until it unfolded. Now….there was rumours of a sixie cameo, perhaps it’ll be part of Hebe’s introduction/backstory? Kind of like sixie’s cameo in the prelude to the Trial of a Time Lord boxset short story, just a vocal one.

For the first time in months, I get to write 'Tally Time!' -Russel T. Davies is back as showrunner. He has already written several scripts. -Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter return to produce, as will Phil Colinson. -The new era is a co-production between BBC Studios and Bad Wolf, which itself is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures TV. -There are multiple specials for the 60th. S14 to follow TBA. -Rachel Talalay returns to direct. Joined by new director Chanya Button. -Ncuti Gatwa is the 14th Doctor. -David Tennant, Bernard Cribbins, Jacqueline King and Catherine Tate have returned in their respective roles. In addition, Yasmin Finney is playing Rose Temple-Noble, Donna's daughter, meaning this is all post TEOT. It is unknown yet if Rose2 will be transgender, like Finney. -Neil Patrick Harris has been cast as the main antagonist, the 'greatest enemy the Doctor has ever faced'. He sports both a Geppeto-esque and Fred Astraire costume. -UNIT will return. They seem to be investigating the arrival of a spherical spaceship. -A fluffy white alien and insect aliens have been spotted. Seemingly, Rose finds one of them with a friend character. -Tennant is getting a new sonic, as well as a new grey-blue variant of his outfit. -Filming has occurred in Cardiff, Wembley, Bristol and Camden Town, specifically Camden Market. -An episode will features the 1920s, a circus and a toyshop. -An episode will feature a huge riot, presumably caused by NPH's character, who literally dances right through it. -RUMOUR: Beep the Meep and the Wrath Warriors are back. RTD references the return of villains from the comics in DWM. -RUMOUR: The Celestial Toymaker is returning, played by NPH. Toy machines were also sighted during the Camden Market shoot. -RUMOUR: The Specials will be broadcast Christmas/New year, Easter and November. -RUMOUR: 1, 11 and 12 may return, due to numbers seen on a slate. -RUMOUR: Each special may focus on a different Doctor, possibly a side-effect of the Centennary regeneration. -RUMOUR: The returning incarnations will not be playing themselves but rather just have the 'current' Doctor use their likeness. -RUMOUR: Tennant is playing some type of special incarnation rather than 10. Possibly a 13.5 or an 'almost 14'. -RUMOUR: There's some type of reality distortion at play. Perhaps even something like the Land of Fiction. -RUMOUR: Ruth Madeley has been cast as a 'scientist' - possibly Hebe from Water Worlds? -RUMOUR: Mel Bush is returning. -RUMOUR: The new TARDIS interior has been redesigned to be wheelchair accessible. -RUMOUR: RTD wants Who to embrace an MCU model of multiple spin offs.
-RUMOUR: Scott Handcock is script editing S14. In addition, other BF staff may be involved in writing S14. -RUMOUR: Pete McTighe still wishes to continue working on the show.

there is also a few other rumours if i recall correctly:
Edgar Wright directing ed Thomas returning for the tardis interior (by the way he mentionned in DWM Special Edition #55 that he had ideas for an organic tardis that Moffat prevented him to use for series 5 and he later refused to tell them to Chibnall for free in case he could return to the show) some returning characters: wilf, donna's husband and mother (i don't remember the name)
murray gold returning

Edgar Wright has put paid to those rumours already- There’s nothing to the Murray Gold rumours beyond fans speculating cos RTD seems to have got the rest of his old gang back together.

So, a rumour on Facebook says that the new TARDIS console room {Spoiler} is twice the height of a cherry-picker and boasts wheelchair ramps, and that the design reflects the people who will be using it. So, maybe, instead of BF's Hebe, the show will be using IDW's Kevin?!
Also, remember that one of the cancelled Jago & Litefoot series that was planned included them facing off against the Celestial Toymaker. Strange that we haven't had an audio novelisation of this, almost as if the character was off-limits at present...

RTD holds nothing back on our gov.
Whatever happens, his new era likely won't hold back neither.

Yasmin has confirmed at London Trans Pride that Rose is also trans. I'm very glad to hear this, Trans representation is always welcome in Doctor Who. With Davies at the Helm, it'll be treated very well. With any luck, Rose will have a nice heart to heart with the Doctor about his experience gender swapping as well.

DWM’s promising features with Segun Akinola and Nikki Wilson in this month’s issue so we might get confirmation as to whether they are leaving with Chibnall.

Interesting even for a rumored New Years Special seems quick to be in the Edit Suite. Regards mark687 Well bear in mind, post is done in stages. She's probably still working through raw footage, which could run into dozens, possibly hundreds (if this goes feature length) of hours, assuming they don't do pickups after - I can't imagine they've started on CG effects and scoring yet, plus all the grading and other fine tuning.
