Today I learned what an MBE is. Also, the actress being featured here has Hypermobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), one of the many varieties of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) there is. It's a very interesting condition and I highly recommend reading up some on it (or watching Jessica Kellgren-Fozard on YouTube, she also has EDS and talks about it a lot on her channel.) Very excited for this box set, sounds interesting, plus even more disability representation! Awesome!

Not familiar with Houston myself, but sounds like a big deal.
I’m a little wary of the story details warning about altering history as Stranded has left me a bit burnt out on a time collapsing and paradoxes and all that. Will wait on more specifics.

I'm kind of wondering if the monk will appear... dunno, just sounds like the sort of thing he'd get into...

My feelings on the 6DAs so far are pretty mixed, but I really love the idea of a TARDIS team consisting of Evelyn's students/friends/mentees. Really helps reinforce just what a great companion she is and how much she mattered for the Doctor without doing anything unpleasant like recasting.

I've generally defended the artwork covers, but how difficult would it have been to find a different image of Ruth Madeley to use?

I do wonder what the point of these painted covers is is if all they’re going to do is stock images of the actors in a row. Might as well just save the effort and use photoshop like the older days. As it is that cover gives me literally nothing to judge this set on.
The idea of building a “UNIT family” around Hebe is fun but the plots don’t excite me much. Will wait on reviews.

I quite like the sound of the stories, but using the same photo of Ruth Madely in the same spot twice seems very lazy.

I’m all for big finish using different art styles but if that wasn’t painted it would just look like someone made a scrap book of the first images on google for the actors. There’s not even any lighting changes like the photoshopers do which would surely be easier to have control over in a painting? I’ve seen the artist’s non Big Finish work and it’s very good, idk why Big Finish and/or the BBC seem to restrict them so much when it comes to covers. I saw someone on Twitter say that this style has put them off buying sets and I have to say I agree unfortunately. Would love to see this artist and other artists with different styles be given free reign to just do whatever the wanted, not restricted to “make sure you include all 6 main cast members on the cover with their faces very clearly in view and well lit.”
ETA: I was a big fan of the Forged in Fire cover and the covers for the audiobook range but the rest of the full-cast covers just seem very lazy so I’m assuming it must be some sort of restriction that someone puts on them

This might have been a rumour and not true but I thought they bought in this painting style so they could use images of young John Hurt without worrying about licensing. I’m not sure how that would work legally speaking but surely if that’s the case it’d be the same case here?

Actors agents have approvals in thjeir contracts over where there image can be used.

I will say with how female forward this set is cast wise, and how Big Finish have been over the last couple of years, it feels very weird that only one hour was written by a female identifying writer.

Honestly the cover looks… fine. It’s honestly not a bad cover. I like it.
What has me most excited though is the casting. Is this the first time we’ve had three companions in the TARDIS with the Sixth Doctor? At least on audio I’m positive it is. That’s a really interesting dynamic that I’ve been wanting for a while, so I’m very happy to finally get it.
Plus, no returning monsters! No big marketing gimmick or sequels to classic stories or prequels. Just three stories written by three really great writers. It feels fresh. I’m onboard!
