Dang, those covers are stunning, I love them.
Not quite sold on the first box set - and Liv still being there - but I'm really eager to hear the Drax episode written by Dorney. The previous one is one of my favorite 4DA episodes, it was absolutely hilarious.

Don't know if anyone's noticed yet but the third story "Albie's Angels", seems to refer to Helen's brother named Albie, who was disowned by his father on account of him being gay, bisexual or pansexual (Helen wasn't sure of his exact sexuality). He was first mentioned in Stranded's UNIT Dating (Also written by Roy Gill). Seems like we might actually find out what happened to him!

Also, this is what John Dorney had to say about 'Here Lies Drax'. As a big fan of 'The Trouble With Drax' you can count me excited!

Now that the initial disappointment that this isn’t really a new start for the Eighth Doctor and is more in the realm of previously untold stories just like with his other past companions - Charley and Lucie - I am feeling a lot more positive about this release.
Especially, as for me, the last time I heard new stories with this Tardis team was way back in October 2019 with the release of Ravenous 4.
I really like the artwork for these sets, especially how the two sets dovetail to each other, which seems strange as Big Finish make a point of stating the sets work in isolation from each other, and I have to say this second set is by far the most interesting to me.
A follow up to the brilliant Trouble with Drax…I am really looking forward to see who is in the cast list for this new story.
Another encounter with the Weeping Angels for this group, which I think is the first time we have the same Doctor and companion(s) meeting the Angels on audio.
And between them there is a story by James Kettle, a writer who always writes fun stories, called The Love Vampires. Could this be a homage to the Hammer Horror film The Vampire Lovers?
Like others, I too am now getting excited about this release or it could just be the vision of Madeline Smith I have in my head…

I will just look at these releases with a different point of view- these are finally some adventures for this crew which are not bound to some multi-story epic or plotline. Finally some stand alone stories. We will see how this team works out in these.

You know what, that’s actually really good casting for Drax.

Really looking forward to both releases, Connections looks like it'll have some good character development for Helen. With the weeping angels could we be seeing Helen's exit?

Shane Richie - straight man's John Barrowman; 1% talent vs 99% confidence - scraping the bottom of the barrel there, but in a way kind of appropriate for Drax.

It’s quite nice how the article mentions Arthur Daley. I’ve always imagined him being the casting basis for a War incarnation of Drax. A silver tongued salesman who is quite happy to seemingly play both sides. That or Sid James.

Did Liv say Helen was still in the TARDIS at the end of Best Year Ever? I definitely didn't consider that Helen might have left prior to Liv's return... (though mostly because I wanted some Eight-Helen stories)

Although I suspect we might get Liv’s proper goodbye and she’ll be replaced by Albie in the TARDIS rather than Helen leaving.

Yes. An 'end of the pier' style entertainer & shoddy actor from soaps.
