I personally like him and I enjoy his shows. His rants are pretty entertaining for the most part, although they can be a bit much sometimes. I can kind of understand if some people may not be a fan of him, although he's actually a calm character on the inside as I've seen.

I’ve personally never been a fan. He’s an excellent cook and I’m sure a lovely man in his personal life but I’ve always considered his persona rather crass and not at all entertaining. If anything, I think it’s very telling that he doesn’t keep up the angry persona when filming in the United Kingdom compared to America.
But what do I know? He’s a multi millionaire with more money than I could ever hope to see so he’s clearly doing something right.

Unlike others 99% of his talking points are about his profession, so therefore, though at times abrasive he is talking on a point he knows.

I would love to see the Sixth Doctor do a Gordon Ramsay style rant.

love him, what really pi$$es him off is arrogant people who think they know it all.. he is the business he knows what he is talking about. he is very supportive with the kids versions as they genuinely try and have no ego's/attitudes. "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" is an eye opener for sure. the levels of filth people are willing to cook in etc. 1 or 2 episodes made me actually gag. He shut the hotel down as it was a complete public health hazard.

P.s. what if Gordon Ramsay met Tegan Jovanka?

Literally cannot watch him. His outbursts and insults and his looks and facial expressions remind me very painfully of my sociopath ex-boss who would come in first thing in the morning and pick one person and start screaming at them. That left me totally traumatised. As soon as I see even the back of Ramsey, I need to turn it off.
That might not actually a reflection on Ramsey's true character or on what he does, but his appearance is a trigger for me, and that sadly is enough.

I don't go out of my way to watch his material, but I don't mind him.
I know he's more faceted than the majority of the online clips would lead you to believe, I've seen a few of him working with children in the kitchen with children which he was quite good with.
While I enjoy the odd clip of him here and there of him tearing a strip off of someone, I can see it through the lens of a man that clearly very passionate about his artform, and strives to bring other up to the level he believes that they can be at.
If he was ever cooking somewhere I'd go for dinner, I'd definitely try one of his dishes, to see if he really lives up to his own hype.

He's awesome, behind the foul mouthed angry chef is a kind caring man with a heart of gold.

I love him. Especially Master Chef and Kitchen Nightmares. And Shane is right, he's amazing with the kids on Master Chef Junior. He's supportive, fun and a terrific teacher.
