Liv and Tania!
Wonder if this is during or after Stranded

Huh. I’ll be honest, I would not have taken a punt on the Series 2 bundle this morning if I’d known this announcement. But guess I’ll have a bit of faith that Eccleston’s scrutiny of scripts means this isn’t going to be a totally pointless exercise. Like most “[x] meets [y]” are these days.
Plus two other stories that sound more normal 9DA fare.

I'm looking forward to some Liv and Tania post Stranded. And having them turn up in the Ninth Doctor Adventures is an interesting move. Cannot wait to see how they interact with each other. Wasn't the range I was expecting them to show up in but I think this has some real promise.

Oh ffs why Big finish I endured the agony of Liv in the 8th Doctor adventures and now have to deal with her in the 9th Doctor range Especially the non existent chemistry between Liv and Tania from the worst series of 8th Doctor adventures
Anyone know if it’s possible to cancel a preorder in a bundle option

Yeah, not massively enthused by this announcement, to be honest. Any interest in Liv & Tania was lost with Best Year Ever. I'm not big on returning elements with the Ninth Doctor and I don't think it has any potential resonance we'd want due to Eccleston's - admittedly understandable - reluctance to touch upon what was on screen; it's what dampened the Brigadier's encounter in Old Friends. For me it's no coincidence that the best of the 9DAs has been Respond to All Calls and Back to Earth.
I get it, especially with the appeal of Nicola & Rebecca, coupled with Chris's love of working with talent he admires, it just doesn't make for an appealing end product for me.
Also, have we exhausted the writing pool for the Ninth Doctor already? I'd have liked another set of writers new to the incarnation, if not new to Big Finish.

Hello everyone! I'll have to check out the 'Doom Coalition', 'Ravenous' and 'Stranded' box sets before I check out Liv and Tania's episode in 'Hidden Depths' with Christopher Eccleston. Tim

Surely it’s not hard to find writers wanting to contribute to this range.

Not too surprised that Liv and Tania are turning up again, but I was expecting them to appear in Torchwood somewhere, so interesting that they're meeting the Ninth Doctor...
It's interesting that the news piece explicitly mentions that he's "newly-regenerated" - is this a story set before all the previous sets then?

Surely it’s not hard to find writers wanting to contribute to this range. You want to try being around ten years ago - it's there's one thing we've got from a feminine boom in DW it's more writers in the Big Finish pool. They were all written by Morris, Platt, Briggs, Barnes, Dorney or Richards. It's getting easy to mistake Myles, McMullin and several overs as repeated names now as well, but there does seem to be a concerted effort to get more writers involved now then there was then.

To be honest, I’d have thought the Ninth Doctor Adventures range would be one of the few in which we wouldn’t get a great deal of returning characters.
Oh well, still surprising I suppose. I’d have guessed Madame Vastra over the likes of Liv and Tania to make an appearance.

I do quite like the fact that we’ve reached a point now that a big finish set featuring 2/3 female writers has graduated to having the “usual suspects” complaint.

My goodness, I wonder why the flagship title employs reliably entertaining writers, who has a nack for coming up with novel ideas?

Uhm.... I am the odd one out it seems. I had exactly zero interest of pre- ordering this set. Until I just saw this announcement. I love Liv, I liked Stranded (although I did not love it) and I am curious what will happen when 9 meets the Bakerstreet regulars. So yeah, this got me on board.
